Chapter 6

"Sorry, Momo." Todoroki said, scrambling off her body and using his hands to stand up. The brunette calmed herself and steadied her breathing. It's fine. It was just an accident. 

Momo put a hand on her chest. Her heart was beating faster than normal. God. Stop it! She quickly got up and rushed towards Shoto. "Where are they?" Yaoyorozu asked, stopping at the wreckage. 

Todoroki pointed to the corner of the room. "Tokoyami is right there. Hagakure is no where in sight." The black beast was buried under the rubble while Tokoyami was struggling to get out. 

The brunette reached for her tracker. Wait. Where is it? Yaoyorozu frantically looked down and roamed her hands over her body. "Todoroki, it's not here." She said, looking up with worry in her eyes. 

The hybrid turned around and furrowed his eyebrows. "What do you mean?" He asked. 

"The tracker. Hagakure I- ack!" Momo felt two hands on her back and her chest being slammed against the floor. "Shit."

Hagakure. 

"Yaoyorozu!" Shoto extended a hand and sent a wave of ice behind him, blocking the path just in case Tokoyami somehow got out of the rubble. "Dammit, Hagakure!"

Huh? Momo felt the weight on her back get released, and she immediately got up. "Todoroki! Hagakure is M.I.A!" 

M.I.A. Missing in Action. She must be somewhere around here. "Dammit. Momo, come." Todoroki beckoned her to come. The brunette immediately rushed over. Todoroki's going to hit her with the ice, right? 

Just as predicted, the hybrid shot a wave of ice her way, clutching onto Momo on his left side to make sure she didn't get cold from the ice. Too... close! Yaoyorozu stayed in place as he knew he probably had a plan. 

"DAMMIT!" Hagakure screeched. Her voice echoed throughout the hall. 

Todoroki let go of the brunette's waist but kept her close. "I'll help you secure Hagakure. Then we can see if Tokoyami is still in place."

"Okay!" Yaoyorozu said, walking over to the ice. Shards were dangerously poking up all over the place. She jumped from the ice and maneuvered her way to where the ice was the highest. "Sorry, Hagakure."

"It's fine. It's just super cold, ya know." Hagakure said in a shaky voice. "Ugh. You've got yourself one hell of a man." 

Momo jumped back and slipped. She squealed as she fell back onto the ground. "Yaoyorozu." The brunette jumped at the sound of that voice. "Are you okay?"

"Y-yeah... just tie her up." Yaoyorozu made a rope and tossed it to him while trying to regain her balance. Shoto grabbed her wrist and pulled her up. 

"I need your help. There's no profit of me leaving you behind." The hybrid said, meeting her eyes and staring at her. "Come on. We have to tie her up before the ice melts." 

They both quickly tied her up after getting her out of the ice. Momo quickly tied a solid knot and pushed her down, making another rope at ease. "Hey. You like Todoroki, right?" Hagakure said in a hushed tone. 

"Huh? No, I don't." Yaoyorozu said, murmuring the last part. "He's just a friend. Besides, he's way out of my league." 

The invisible girl turned her head. "What'd you mean? He's not out of your league." Hagakure said, trying to lift her spirits. She could practically see the dejection in her eyes. 

"He's way better than me. He came up with a plan on the spot and used his vast power to capture you and hopefully Tokoyami. I could've never came up with something that good." The brunette said, closing her eyes and putting on a happy smile. "Besides, he got in off actual recommendations. My parents just put in the money for me to do it."

"Yeah, but you still got first place in the recommendation exams! You should be proud of that!" Hagakure protested back. "He's not out of your league."

"I guarantee you he's coming back with Tokoyami captured. He could've done this whole thing without me." Yaoyorozu said, turning away from the invisible girl and looking at the whole carved in the ice wall. "I think I was just holding him back." 

Hagakure sighed. No matter what she said, Yaoyorozu had a low self-esteem that was high to get up. 

"Yaoyorozu, you're amazing. It doesn't matter if you're a bit lower than everyone else. Because you're amazing no matter what you do."
