What Doesn't She Know?

"So, how did Changbin do tonight?" Xia pulled Bam to the side. She wanted to see if she would have to find someone else or if they should keep him. Once out of the earshot of everyone else, Bam leaned over to her.

"He definitely knows what he's doing. I showed him everything once, and we caught on fast. He definitely knows what he's doing. I didn't have to watch him. He handles everything with ease, speed, and he provided great customer service," Bam said.

"Okay, sounds good," she replied, with a bit of disappointment in her voice. She sort of wanted a reason for him not to stay, but it looks like she needs him.

"Why you sound like that?" Bam asked. "Don't tell me you like him?" Bam sighed, and shook his head.

"No, but I met him the other night at the party, and he kinda made it clear he wanted to get to know me," she said.

"I mean, I could see why you would be worried. He has bad boy written all over him. Be careful, with this one. I normally would all for hoe activities, but I am not sure about him. He seems too good to be true," Bam said.

"You're right," Xia looked out of the corner of her eye and saw him help the clean-up crew with cleaning up the club. She didn't ask him to do it, but he seemed happy to help them.

"Xia, seriously. You already got your holes full. You don't need another one," Bam teased her, and grinned at her.

"Shut up," Xia laughed, and looked down at her phone. She saw a text message from Jaebeom...

Jaebeom: Look, some weird shit is going on. So, Jinyoung also signed Winnie, which is Bangchan's ex. We are working with her tonight, and it's hella awkward. Are you still at the club? We're leaving soon.

Xia: Interesting...Yes, I am still here.

Jaebeom: You want me to come to scoop you?

Xia: Yeah

Jaebeom: Alright, bae, I'll be there in thirty.

Xia slid her phone back into her pocket, and Changbin came over to her. "So, Ms. Xia, do you need anything else before I leave?"

"No," she shook her head. "Bam said you were on point tonight. I am glad you were here tonight."

"Me too. We didn't really get to connect like I wanted to. I would love to get to know you," Changbin said.

"I am not single," Xia said. She didn't really know what her dating situation is, and didn't know how to say she was single without saying she had two boyfriends. But, she wasn't really clear if she was actually in a relationship with both of them.

"I respect that, but I just felt like you seemed interested the other night," he said.

"I don't want to complicate anything. We work together now, and I am not available. So, I will just see you tomorrow night. Good job tonight," Xia walked off feeling awkward as fuck. She had to get herself together. She walked down the hall, and she saw Jinyoung waiting for her at her office door.

Great, now she has to deal with him, too. There wasn't any way that she could ignore him. "You know the club is closed, Jinyoung," she reached into her pocket and grabbed her keys to get into her office.

"I know, but I wanted to see you," Jinyoung said.

"Jinyoung..look, you seem like a great guy, but I am not looking for anything at the moment," he said.

"Because of Bangchan and Jaebeom?" Jinyoung said, and she looked up into his eyes. Is this why he came to see her? To confirm whether or not she's with him. She pulled her key out of the door.

"Look, my personal affairs don't concern you," she said.

"Well, actually, they do. It would help if you left them alone. They are new artists, and they don't need to be fighting over you or being distracted," Jinyoung said.

"Jinyoung, I am not sure what you were told, but I am not with either of them. They are both good friends of mine, and nothing else," she said.

"Okay, good friends.." Jinyoung pulled out his phone and started to swipe through it. He showed her a picture of her entering the hotel with Chan. That was the day they went to celebrate his new deal.

"Listen, I have had a long night tonight. I just want to finish my paperwork, and go home."

"One date, and I won't leak this photo to dispatch," he said.

"You can't be serious," she turned around to him fully, and folded her arms. Would he really stoop this low to get a date? This man is a multi-millionaire, and any woman would gladly give this man anything he wanted. Except, her.

But, he's trying to blackmail her into a date? Xia tried to process why he would do that. She didn't want to ruin things for her guys, but at the same time, she didn't want to force herself to do something she wasn't comfortable with.

"I am very serious," Jinyoung said.

"Fine, when do I have to go?" she tried to force a smile.

"Perfect, I will pick you up on Monday night around 8. Text me what designer you want to wear, and I will let them know you are coming shopping. I will see you soon," he said, and hugged her. She felt so disgusted that she had to do this, but she felt like she had to protect Chan. He worked too hard to lose his opportunity because his boss is infatuated with her.

Xia stood in the shower in the arms of Jaebeom, and she felt so drained from the whole Jinyoung situation. Maybe, this entanglement was causing her too much stress and drama that she didn't need.

"Baby, what's wrong? You were so quiet in the car, and you have hardly said much. Is this because Chan didn't come?" Jaebeom asked.

"No, I am just tired. That's all," she lied.

"Are you sure you're okay? I wasn't implying that you should be worried about Chan. He clearly is over her, but she doesn't seem like she is," Jaebeom said.

"Jae, I'm fine. I just want to finish this shower and go to bed. I had a long day," she said.

Jae pulled her into her arms and held her. He rubbed her back as the water ran down on them. Xia felt so many mixed emotions.

"Whatever this is weighing on you I need you to tell me. I know you Xia and I know something isn't right. I'm not going to push but when you're ready I want you to tell me," he said.

She never had a reason not to trust Chan, and here she is going to meet with Jinyoung just to protect her. Is it even worth it?

Or maybe there's something about Bangchan that she doesn't know?
