Xia sat on the side of the bed with Chemin. He looked like he was in so much pain, and she couldn't believe just a few hours ago he was fine.

She held his hand and thought about how much he's been there for her. "Chemin, I need you to pull through," Xia whispered and looked at him in the hospital bed.

Chemin opened his eyes and whispered back to her. "I don't know if I got any fight left.. Xi," Chemin said.

His words hit her heavy, and she didn't want to cry in front of him. She couldn't hold back, though, because she kept a brave face around Chris and Jaebeom.  The truth is she's scared of losing him.

"What am I supposed to do without you?" Xia tried to say through tears. This was the last person she considered family in Korea. "You are my only family," she said.

"You have to live.. you are so young. Full of life, opportunities, and you deserve everything. You still have JB," Chemin said.

Xia shook her head and held his hand tighter. "No, Chemin. We're done. He chose his family's values over me. I am not going to push it any further," Xia didn't want to bore him with the details. She didn't know how much time she had with him.

"I am sure you two will get back together. You two love each other very much. I won't be around to see the grandchildren, but I know it will happen," Chemin weakly smiled.

"Well, I will handle everything at the club while you are here. I texted Songlee, but you know she didn't respond," Xia huffed. She couldn't understand why they were always at odds with each other.

"Songlee is very stubborn. She just doesn't like that I have always helped your grandma with you. She couldn't understand it. She was very jealous when I hired you at the club," Chemin said.

"I know, but it's much easier for her to get a job. She's from here, and she's not black. But, I am going to let Jae talk to you because the nurses said I couldn't stay long because you're in ICU," Xia stood up. "I love you, Chemin, and you mean the world to me. Thank you for everything," Xia said. She kissed him on his cheek.

"Love you too, Xia," Chemin said.

Xia wiped her tears and walked back into the waiting room. She saw Jaebeom was standing outside of the waiting room. He looked irritated, and she's sure it's because of Chris.

"Why are you here?" Xia asked.

"Because I need to stand up. How is he?" Jaebeom hovered over her.

"I don't know. He's talking, and he wants to see you," Xia told him.

"Okay, do you want me to take you home after?" Jaebeom asked.

"Nah, I will get home. Thanks for bringing me here to see him," Xia replied.

"Text me when you get home, Xi," Jaebeom stared into her eyes.

"Okay," Xia said.

She walked over to Chris, and he stood up. "How is he?"

"He's talking, but he's still very weak. I'm going to come back in the morning. I need a few hours to sleep," Xia said.

"Okay, let me take you home," Chris grabbed her hand and played with it. She wasn't used to anyone being this touchy-feely with her so soon.

"You don't have to do it," Xia replied.

"I know, but I want to," Chris smiled and held her hand up to her face.

"Listen, I just got out of a relationship and-," Xia hesitated to go further into the conversation. This entire day was crazy, and she just wanted to relax.
