I was driven down streets I didn't recognise. A knot of nerves that I thought I'd got rid of made its presence well known. I stared out of the window hoping for something I knew to emerge into view. At least I'd have somewhere to run if things went wrong. A chilling thought then raced through my mind. What if that was Harry's plan? Taking me somewhere I didn't know so that I couldn't get away.
"Marlie?"
I jumped at his touch on my thigh. My head spun sharply towards the wandering warmth. It was travelling slowly up my thigh but before he could reach his intended target I gripped hold of his wrist a pried it away. He laughed before he spoke again.
"Come on, we're here."
"And where exactly is here?"
Harry peered at me, confusion etched into his expression. I hadn't realised the nervous tone that had crept into my voice when I spoke.
"Don't worry, it's not too far from mine."
A sense of relief washed over me. I was within walking distance of Lily's. Harry didn't allow me the feeling I'd been craving for so long for very long though. He brought his lips to my ear, a gasp escaping me in the process.
"We'll have some fun later."
Every syllable made me tense. I knew Harry could tell from the raspy laugh he emitted after feeling my body instantly tense up. He lingered close to my face for a second before I swung open his door and jumped out of the car. I wasn't willing to show him my heart was racing at him being so close to me. I wasn't going to give him the satisfaction of knowing he was pulling me in.
Harry was quickly by my side again, his large hand searching for my smaller one. I allowed him to take hold of it, it almost got lost inside his larger grip. My grip on his hand tightened as we walked into a busy club. Numerous bodies were packed up against each other but none of them seemed to mind. They were all grinding away, feeling each other up. Something that had never appealed to me. My stomach wretched at the sight. Harry tried to pull me further but I tugged him back shaking my head, my long hair falling around my face.
"Harry, I can't go in there."
"Why? What's wrong?"
"I just can't."
I slipped my hand from his as I turned in the doorway. The heat of the club was already making me feel sick. I pushed my way back into the cold night air, taking it deep into my lungs hoping for some sort of relief. I felt an arm snake around my waist, turning me to look into a dazzling pair of emeralds.
"Come back in. You'll be fine."
Before I could speak, Harry had dipped his head towards my cheek, planting a soft kiss. I inhaled his strong scent, the sick feeling suddenly being replaced by butterflies. When he pulled away I gazed into his eyes but the thought of being that close to so many lustful, hormonal guys still wouldn't allow me back in.
"Can't we go somewhere else?"
Harry stared for a second while he pondered over my question.
"There is one place we could go."
"If you say your flat I will be down that street faster than you can blink." I warned.
"Oh really? I'd like to see that."
"What? You think that because I'm a girl I can't outrun a guy?"
Harry shrugged, that smug grin I was so accustomed to seeing plastered upon his face. I noticed his arm moving towards me. I knew exactly what he was going to do so I darted backwards away from him. He moved closer to try again. I shook my head and turned quickly on my heels, flicking my shoes off and sprinting down the street.
