The "party" I accompanied Lily to later that night turned out to be a drag. It was a bunch of teenagers I'd never met in my life sitting around in the living room with bottles of alcohol and music playing at the lowest volume possible. I was hoping that something exciting was going to happen to stop me from nodding off in the corner of the room. I was wishing I'd accepted Harry's offer of a night out. Anything would have been more exciting than this.

I could feel my eyes beginning to close when my phone buzzed in my pocket, jolting me back into consciousness. I pulled it out and glanced down at the screen. It was a message from Harry.

"From : Harry

Hey gorgeous, how's the party? .x"

"What party? I'm so bored! x" I sarcastically replied.

I replaced my phone into my pocket and followed the group upstairs to the bedroom where we were apparently staying. I practically dived onto the bed. I'd been forced to this "party" so I certainly wasn't being given a space on the floor to sleep on.

I lay on the bed scrolling through Twitter on my phone whilst everyone else was snoring around me. As I did, a new message flashed up on my phone.

"From : Harry

Need saving? .x"

I was slightly confused but still hastily replied with a yes. If I wasn't so far from home, I would have quietly crept out, leaving a note in Lily's bag and made my escape back to the comfort of my own bed. I was tempted to just do it anyway. It was then as I rose from the bed, that I heard a car engine in what had been a quiet street all night. The engine shut off right outside the house I was in. I hop-scotched over the bodies on the floor to the window and pulled back the curtains. I saw Harry's Range Rover parked across the street. Upon seeing movement, he opened his door and stepped down from his car. He was dress in a smart shirt and blazer, dark denim jeans on his bottom half. I clicked the handle on the window and opened it.

"Harry? What are you doing here?" I shouted in hushed tones.

"Saving you."

The smile he gave me made my heart flutter.

"Come on, come down."

I manoeuvred my way around the bedroom to the door and made my way downstairs to the front door. I tried to open it but it was locked. I wiggled the handle thinking perhaps I was being to weak but it definitely wasn't budging. I jogged back up the stairs, tip-toed around everyone and back to the window.

"The door's locked, I can't get out."

"Climb out the window."

"Are you kidding me?"

"No, I'll catch you."

Harry had a mischievous glint in his emerald eyes. I was captivated by the way they sparkled in the moonlight. So much so that his idea of me climbing out of the window didn't seem so stupid anymore and before I could think about what I was doing, I was sitting on the window ledge, reaching for the drainpipe.

I managed to stand one of my feet in between the drainpipe and the wall and the other was barely gripping to the dip in the grout between the bricks. I clung onto the drainpipe with my arms, slowly shimmying my way down it, the friction from the plastic burning my arms. I got as close as I could to the bottom before flicking my head at Harry, signalling for him to come over. He stood beneath me, instructing me to just let go.

"I can't, what if you miss."

"I won't." he assured me. "Just trust me."

I connected my gaze with his which gave me all the reassurance I needed. I let go and closed my eyes, hoping to feel Harry's strong arms around me within seconds. Harry's arms squeezed me tightly as I fell into them. A chuckle vibrated through his chest as I let go of the breath I had subconsciously been holding.
