My body froze. I dared not raise my gaze to inevitably meet that of Jamie's.

"I was very worried about you last night. Look at that bump on your head."

I saw his hand rise to touch it so I darted backwards.

"Don't be like that, baby. I'm sorry for hurting you. Now that you're back, I can take you out. Go on, go and get dressed and I'll wait in my car."

Jamie pushed past me. I was still frozen to my spot. It wasn't until his car door slammed that I was brought back to reality. I quickly went inside and slammed the door behind me.

"Lily?" I shouted.

She appeared in the hallway and instantly noticed the purpling bump on my forehead.

"Marlie, what happened last night?"

"Nothing, Lily."

"That doesn't look like nothing."

"Well it is. Why did you let Jamie in?"

"I didn't let anybody in. I've been in the kitchen."

"Jamie had just been here."

"I would have heard if someone was here, Marl. I think the alcohol from last night is still playing on your mind."

Lily grinned at me.

"No, Lily, I'm being serious."

"You're imagining things. It's been a tough couple of weeks. I don't blame you."

Lily failed to see the fear that I was trying to communicate with her. She simply looked right through it and encouraged me to pretty myself up and go out. She chased me up the stairs to my room and followed me inside pulling out clothes for me to put on. My protesting was going unnoticed so I had no choice but to go along with it. Once dressed, I was ushered out of the door, but Lily was clueless to the fact that I was about to go and join Jamie in his car. Lily waved and closed the door and I slumped down the steps towards the gate. I took a deep breath once I reached the passenger door of Jamie's car. I opened it and sat in the seat.

"Wow. You look so hot."

His hand moved towards me.

"Don't touch me." I spat.

"Now, now. I'm gonna do more than touch you if you don't stop being difficult."

His brown eyes were now narrowed at me and darkened. He could see he was frightening me but that didn't stop him from continuing.

His hand moved towards my thigh yet again. I backed as far as I could into the window but it wasn't far enough for me to escape him. His hand rested on my thigh before giving it a squeeze. I almost wretched at his touch. It was far from pleasing. His hand began to travel further up my thigh but I quickly stopped it before it went any further. His head quickly lifted so his eyes could find mine and his piercing stare forced me backwards into the seat a little bit more.

"Marlie, you know not to do that. Do I need to remind you, or are these reminder enough?"

He tugged at my wrists showing me the bruises he had left there.

"I will go with you as long as you don't touch me. I don't want your hands anywhere near me."

"Where has this courage come from hmm? Has your little rescuer given you a pep talk? Don't worry, baby. I'll take care of him."

"You touch him, and I'll call the police and show them what you've done to me."

His eyes widened at my threat. He could tell I wasn't fooling around. He released my wrists from his grip and turned back to the wheel gripping it so tightly his knuckles turned white.

Once we pulled up at his house, I waited for him to open my door. He held out his hand to help me out but I didn't so much as bat an eyelid at it. I got out of the car and walked straight past him towards the front door. I heard him huff behind me, his annoyance with me obviously growing.

He angrily turned his keys in the door and pushed it open. I flew past him and into the living room and sat in his sofa waiting to be imprisoned in his house. I heard the lock and chain go on the door and I felt sick knowing I was locked in with him.

"Did I tell you you weren't going home? You're staying here." Jamie said as he waltzed into the living room and sat down beside me.

"What?"

"I took the liberty of packing a bag for you so you can stay where I can watch you. You're not going home until you've learnt that you're mine and you won't get away."

His last sentence sent chills up my spine. I almost felt the blood drain from my face as his presence neared mine.

"You will learn that you're mine." he whispered in my ear.

I raised my hands to his chest to push him away but it instead sparked a laugh as he grabbed my already heavily bruised wrists.

"Don't." he warned.

My hands almost instantly fell from his chest as if they had a mind of their own.

"Good girl. Now come with me. I want to show you to our room."

Our room? No. My muscles tensed at the thought of being so close to him. With him that close I knew I'd never be able to escape him.

I'd spent a total of three hours locked in what Jamie was calling "our bedroom". He hadn't let me move from it since he'd first taken me in. I was beginning to go crazy. No matter how much I begged him to let me out he would laugh it off, telling me I needed to learn.

My phone vibrated on the bed sheet. I took hold of it in my hand and opened the message.

"From : Jamie

Thats a good girl. You keep quiet and settle in. x"

The phone dropped from my hand bouncing on the bed and falling to the floor. He had my number. That was the one thing I had separating me from him and now he'd even taken that. I knew now that I had to give in to him. There was nothing more I could do to stop him.

Darkness had fallen by the time Jamie came into the room. I had been stuck in my same position unable to move since I'd received his message. I couldn't see anything in the pitch black that filled Jamie's room but I could hear every single movement. I heard his shoes get kicked off into the corner and the removal of his shirt and jeans. A cold draft blew on the bottom of my legs as he threw some pjs at me obviously hinting at me to change. To save an argument I complied and quickly took off my clothes and pulled on the shorts and t-shirt. He patted the space next to him and I obeyed, lying on my side facing away from him.

"I didn't think you'd learn so quickly. But don't think that means I'll let you go."

The snigger on the end of it brought tears to my eyes. What made them fall was when I felt him press up against my back and drape his arm over me, pulling me into him. The breath I felt on the back of my neck, although warm and heavy, chilled me.

My phone vibrated again. My reaching for it was quickly brought to a halt by Jamie. The action was repeated a total of six times before an outraged Jamie got out of the bed, took hold of my phone and switched it off before throwing it into a draw of his bedside cabinet.

"It could be Lily. She might be worried about me."

"Well she doesn't need to worry. You're with me."
