"Did you know I was coming back today?" Harry asked as he undid his seatbelt.
"No...why?"
I stared at him confused for a second. Noticing my confusion, he kissed the crease that had been formed between my furrowed brows before dipping to my ear.
"You've got those red lace knickers on. They make your arse even better."
Harry pulled back, absorbing my shocked gaze. He slowly leaned over the centre console. I heard the clicking of my seatbelt and the he neared closer again. His scent flooded my senses, my eyes fluttering closed. I could feel his hot breath on my neck prompting me to tilt my head to the side, giving him access to trail kisses over my tingling skin. I was left breathless when he didn't, opening the passenger door and pulling back, his pink lips wearing a satisfied grin.
I composed myself before hopping down and rushing round to Harry's side. He entwined our fingers as we crossed over to my house. My hand escaped his as I rummaged for my keys, his large hands then choosing to hold my hips. His thumb managed to find its way underneath, rubbing over the warm skin of my lower back, goosebumps forming at the touch.
"Do I get an invitation inside?" his low voice vibrated against my neck.
"You don't need an invitation." I whispered back.
"Do you want to feel how bad I want you right now?"
"I have a pretty good idea."
Harry's hold on my hips was used to press me into his warmth. A prominent bulge pressed against my back. Harry sucked on my sweet spot, almost causing me to collapse.
"Steady on, gorgeous." he said before chuckling.
I batted him away before I passed out. I began to walk inside, but my legs were knocked out from underneath me. I was carried bridal style up the stairs whilst Harry stole sweet kisses. My bedroom door was kicked open, followed by Harry's shoes being kicked off into the corner of my room. I had a feeling I knew where this was heading.
I was placed down onto the carpet, Harry's eyes locked on mine. The sparkle that was missing last time I had seen him returned, more weakening than ever. I made quick work of his t-shirt, acquainting myself once more with his glorious body. I stroked over his prominent collar bones, the traced down his arms. When I reached his wrist, I noticed a tattoo that I hadn't seen before.
"When did you get this?" I enquired as I inspected the 'I CAN'T CHANGE' inking.
"Last week."
"What made you get it?"
"People keep telling me I need to change. I need to change my behaviour, what I do with my life. But I can't. I'm me."
"And that's Harry Styles that won me over." I commented, rubbing my thumb over his knuckles.
The left side of his lips curved up into a half smile.
"You don't need to change. You just become a better person."
Harry looked almost innocent as his emerald gaze peered into my silver one. I pecked him on the nose, the innocence then dropping away from his eyes and being replaced with lust.
My t-shirt was slowly crinkled up my torso before being blindly thrown aside. Our foreheads were pressed together as he picked up his chain that lay in the valley of my breasts. I caught sight of his smile as he watched my chest rise and fall increasingly fast at his touch.
Our lips were millimetres from one another. I was about to make to final move to unite them when a buzzing started. Harry groaned as he realised it was his phone.
"To be continued." he spoke lowly.
The phone was pulled out of his back pocket and pressed to his ear. Whilst he was speaking, I searched the floor for my previously discarded clothing. I pulled the t-shirt over my head, tuning into the conversation Harry was having.
"Mum, mum, calm down. I'll be over as soon as possible."
The phone call then came to an end. Harry quickly looked around for his t-shirt and pulled it back on.
"Is everything alright?"
"I just have to go to my mums for a bit. I'll be back soon, ok?"
Before waiting for my answer, he pecked me on the lips and fled from my room and down the stairs in a blur. It was obvious I still had a bit to do on Harry's trust issues. I didn't want to seem nosey, wanting to know everything that was going on in his life, but I wanted to be able to understand him.
*****
I had curled up on the couch with a cup of tea and a movie waiting for Harry to return. I jumped upon hearing a knock on the door. My gaze darted to the clock on the fireplace. It was almost midnight. He'd been gone for almost five hours.
"I was beginning to think you weren't coming back." I said as I slid open the door.
"Sorry, I ended up staying a lot longer than I thought I would."
"Is everything alright?"
"Fine."
Harry's stare remained fixed on any point other than me. He slowly brushed past me and began making his way up the stairs. His strange behaviour set me on edge a little. I hastily followed the same path he had taken, ending in my bedroom. He was already undressed and getting ready to climb into bed.
"What happened, Harry?"
"It doesn't matter, it's sorted. Come on, come into bed."
Harry shuffled over giving me space to snuggle in next to him. We cuddled as close as he we had when Brody took me to his dingy flat. I was beginning to recognise Harry's behaviour. It was always similar when something pained him.
"You frustrate me sometimes." I mumbled against the crook of his neck.
"Why?"
"You never let me in. You never tell me what's wrong. You lock it all in."
Harry loosened his hold on me before pulling me up to be parallel with him. His emeralds pierced into my silver gaze.
"Do you want to know why?" he almost whispered.
I nodded cautiously.
"You have been through so much. You have so many troubles of your own. Mine are nothing compared to yours. I'd rather help you than unload all my tiny things onto you. You don't need that."
I felt a warmth tingle through my entirety. I reached a hand up to Harry's curls, taking one and twiddling it around my index.
"You're troubles are my troubles, Harry. No matter how big or small. I want you to know you can trust me as much as I trust you."
Harry's hand found mine under the covers. His thumb rubbed over my knuckles.
"You're amazing."
"Not as amazing as you."
Harry let out one single chuckle before pressing our lips together softly. I slid back down his body, snuggling back into our previous position. My hand rose and fell with his chest. My eyelids became heavy and I began to drift in and out of consciousness. There was one thought that came to the forefront of my mind before I drifted off completely.
It couldn't be true. It was too soon, too fast. I couldn't be in love with him.
