My Light Within Her Dark [T. Drake]

Selena made her way back to her cave and plopped right down in front of the computers. 
"Please don't tell me you're going out again, how are you not sore?" Andy asks. 

"If memory serves me correct, you helped me improve my stamina by 200% in less than 4 months after I first came to NYC. I can hold out till morning. How's it coming on your end?" Selena asks unzipping her mask and pulling her hood down letting her long wavy hair flow down.

"Its' almost done, like I said, I'm on my way Selena. I just hope you realize that you are not alone by the time I get here." Uncle Andy states. 

"Uncle Andy... that is something I will never forget. I know that people have my back." Selena replies causing him to turn his head from the monitor. 

"Well, since your definitely the Alpha, how about you call me Echo." Andy says. "What?" Selena asks confused sitting down. "Its' codename, for when you're out and about." Andy replies. Selena started laughing from how stupid it was, and then turned back to the monitor.

"Shouldn't you go to bed?" Andy asks.

"I still have some homework left. I'll go to bed soon." Selena told him as she noticed his hologram disappear and continued her homework. She stayed up till 2 and finally managed to get some sleep. She woke up around 0545 due to another nightmare. Selena shot up in her bed panting like crazy as she felt the urge from inside her, she had the urge to bite.

Selena got out of her history class and walked to the cafeteria. She sat at her table and was surprised by Leanne and Rianne. "Where'd you guys come from?" Selena asks rubbing her eyes. "The coffee shop across the street, we're regular's there. Here, drink up. You look like you need it." Leanne answered.

"What's this?" Selena asks taking a sip. "Gold Peak Green Tea. Caffeine boost, what happened to you?" Rianne asks. "I had a rough night." Selena answered, half truth/half lying. 

"Well, how are you, adjusting I mean?" Leanne asks. 

"I'm doing great. The schedule is a little catty wonk but I'll get there." Selena answered drinking her tea. "If you ever need help, we are excellent time managers, plus we are actually looking for jobs. Our parents are over sees and they want us to learn responsibility." Rianne replies. 

"I'll keep my eye out, what exactly are you guys interested in?" Selena asks. 

Before they answered, a teacher came running to their table. "Miss Selena? A message just came for you." The teacher said giving her the note. 

"Thanks." Selena replies trailing off till she met a pair of eyes. The boys eyes looked away with a slight blush, "I've been meaning to ask you, do you know that boy? My 6 o'clock?" Selena asks taking another sip, while opening the note.

"Oh him, his name is Tim Drake, one of Bruce Wayne's kids." Leanne answered. "Tim Drake? Now why does that sound familiar?" Selena asks reading the note. "I'm pretty sure he was at the Wayne Foundation Gala, that night..." Rianne answers but then trailed off when she realized. "Selena I am so sorry." Rianne apologizes. 

"It's fine. I just need to go." Selena replies grabbing her bag and was about to walk off.

"Selena? You ok?" Leanne asks. "I just... need to take care of something. Something personal." Selena said, holding back her anger as she stormed off to the main gate. Tim watched her leave, "I think he likes her." Leanne said to her twin. "I agree." Rianne replies. Tim then noticed three big jocks about to run into Selena. "Oh crap." Tim muttered underneath his breath.

"Hey, where do you think you're going?" Jock #1 asks. "Get out of my way." Selena said getting very angry. "Or what sweetie, we just want to talk to.. ah!!" Jock #2 replied as he tried to reach for her hand but then his wrist was grabbed... by Tim.
