Dread coursed through my veins as I lifted my fist to the Slytherin door.

It opened before I knocked.

Standing in front of me was Blaise Zabini. I doubt he has the slightest idea of my association with his roommates, due to the confused look on his face.

"Granger?", he noted, assessing my outfit. I see the slightest raise of eyebrows before he bring his eyes back to mine. "What are you doing here?"

"Theo invited me", I quickly mutter.

Blaise doesn't look shocked by what I just said. For some reason I see the slightest bit of pity in his eyes. Does he think I was only invited out of pity? He's wrong.

"Well, by all means have fun".

He steps out of the way of the door and motions for me inside.

I take a cautious step through the door and I'm shocked by what I see.

Atleast 200 students from all different houses crowd the slytherin common room. Everyone stands shoulder to shoulder, either dancing or talking. The lights are off except for colorful flashing colors that coat each wall. I see some students kissing in the corner. Some even going further. I quickly look away.

I scan the crowd for Theo, but with no luck. There's too many people to see him anyway. I scoot through the crowd not trying to bump anyone. The noise is louder than I would have thought. Many drunk voices flood my mind.

When I reach the front of the group theres a DJ booth being run by a Hufflepuff. This is shocking. I didn't think Hufflepuffs came to these parties. Or any parties for that matter. I even see some people from my own house. I spot Cho Chang dancing with a Ravenclaw boy. She is clearly drunk, which is a new sight for me. I mean, did I really expect the rest of my house to stay in at night and study like me?

All the noise and music fill my ears and I find myself swaying to it like everyone else. I quickly look for Theo once more before deciding to just leave. Maybe he isn't here. I'm walking towards the exit when-

"Hermoine! You're here!"

Theo comes jogging up beside me, clearly out of breath. He takes a moment to regain himself before speaking again. "Leaving so soon?"

"I- um-"

"Come on, you have to try my new concoction", Theo exclaimed, grinning.

He then grabs my wrist and starts dragging me towards the drink table. He hands me a red plastic cup and gestures for me to drink it.

I'm hesitant.

"Come on 'Mione, what's the harm in a little fun?", Theo begged.

It's at this point I realized Theo was drunk as well. He even called me by a nickname. Maybe he's right. I should have a little fun for myself, I've been working so hard recently. And maybe it'll help me forget the stress of Mattheo. Even if it's for a little bit.

I bring the cup to my lips and drink it all in one swig. It burns as it coats my throat and I make a sour face. The exhaustion of the last few weeks starts to take control of my body.

I take another and another and another until I'm sure I've drunk almost a whole bottle. I have to grip onto Theodores shoulder just to steady myself. The colored lights blur my vision as I go for another bottle.

Theo stops me by gripping my hand. "How about later Granger, maybe right now we could go have some fun". He has a sly grin on his face. He seems to be almost if not more drunk than I am. He drags me along and towards the Slytherin green couches. A lot of people have dwindled since my arrival, but many still fill up the room.
