I was feeling a familiar sense of deja vu as a voice shouts my name from behind my bedroom door. It seems people tend to visit me a lot in here lately. That's probably because I rarely hangout anywhere else.I sludge out of my sheets, flattening out my clothes before I turn to greet the unexpected visitor. I take a quick look in the mirror to make sure I am presentable. Once I'm satisfied, I turn the knob and yank the door open.
In front of me stands a very smiley Olivia Trinket. Great.
After our last encounter I was hoping I wouldn't have to see her again. Looking back, I'll admit I wasn't the nicest to her and I do regret some of the things I said, but the majority of it was only the hard truth and she needed to hear it. I could have worded it better, but everything with him was still fresh on my mind and I just let my feelings loose onto Liv. I wonder what she would want with me now.
"Hey!", she blurts out cheerfully.
"Hi.", I say blankly.
"How are you?"
"Fine, can I help you?"
She pauses. "I just wanted to check on you."
"What for?"
"Well I know you've been going through a rough time lately..."
"What makes you say that?"
"You can't get anything past me, Hermoine.", Liv states. "I can tell when somethings wrong."
"Well as I just told you, I'm fine. No reason to check up on me."
I internally scold myself for being so rude. She doesn't deserve it and I know that. Standing in front of me now she looks so innocent and full of life. So different from how she was just a few weeks ago.
The sunlight from the pulled back blinds stream against her annoyingly clear and perfect skin. It makes her dark hair seem a few shades lighter and the sun brings out the few dotted gold specs in her chocolate eyes. Jealousy and admiration are both two conflicting emotions Liv's natural appearance seems to bring out of me. It makes me wonder how someone could possibly be so captivating.
Yet I know it is not only Liv who possesses qualities like these. I could name another dark haired and dark eyed person who's just so alluring you can't seem to stay away even when you want to.
I sigh loudly and examine the girl once more. I can see in her face she is genuine. She's honestly sorry and craves my forgiveness. Who am I to deny someone like her?
"Look Liv, I forgive you.", I blurt out.
Her face scrunches up at my words.
"Sorry, what?", she asks.
"I forgive you for what you did."
Her features light up with pure joy. I'm convinced her mouth might touch her ears and there's no way she can see with how squinted her eyes are.
Immediately she flies forward and yanks me into an embrace. I feel I should be used to this by now. With my face buried into her neck, she only continues to squeeze harder.
"I'm so happy", she mumbles into my skin.
I can't repress a reluctant smile.
After what feels like ages, Liv finally releases me.
"This is so great, Mione! I can't tell you how excited I am. I'll start moving my stuff in here tomorrow!"
"Wait, what?", I exclaim.
