I take in the walls painted with metal band posters. His entire dorm is decked with gothic design, suiting him well.

"Why aren't I surprised," I chuckle to myself.

"Oh hush," Dabi teases. "I'm sure your dorm is covered with sports posters and girls in bikinis."

I roll my eyes. "You're half right," I admit. I do have quite a few football and school spirit banners though.

Dabi presents a bowl of ramen to me with a sweet smile. "Toe tap a flea or whatever they say."

I snicker, taking the bowl. "I don't think that's what it is, but thank you."

I follow him over to the tiny love seat in the middle of the room, plopping down beside him.

"Wanna watch a movie or something," he asks.

I frown, my mouth full of noodles. "I better not. I gotta get up and work out early in the morning."

"Fair enough," he says, attempting to understand. He turns on a cartoon, slurping his noodles.

We watch the show silently as we finish our food.

"Wait did you mean earlier," Dabi asks, breaking the ice.

I look over at him, seeing him blushing. I blink at him. "What part?" I'm totally lost.

"You said I should be with someone else," he mumbles. He twists his hands together in his lap. Is he nervous?

"Yeah, I did," I say. "You can do a lot better than that jerk."

Dabi chuckles lightly. "There's no one else for me. I just gotta settle with what I got."

I soften, feeling my heart break. "Do you even like him?"

He bites his lip, not looking at me. "I guess you could say I like the thought of him."

He must feel trapped in this relationship. They've been together for a while now. Kai is always touching Dabi, his hands all over him. The sight makes me sick to my stomach.

"You should break up with him," I hear myself say. I clap my hands over my mouth, seeing a sad look in Dabi's eyes.

I know that if he hadn't burned his tear ducts years ago, he would be teary eyed.

"I'm sorry," I say softly, resting my hands on his cheeks. "I didn't mean to hurt your-"

"You're right," Dabi says, his sad eyes beaming with a glimmer of hope.

"I am?"

He chuckles weakly, resting his face against my palm. "I do want to break up with him. I will. I just need to think about how to do it."

I beam at him, sitting on my knees. My hands still hold his burned, scarred face.

"God, you're so beautiful," I think aloud.

His cheeks burn against my palm.

"Fuck," I gasp. "I didn't mean to-"

"You are too, Keigo," he says without missing a beat.

My heart skips a beat. There's a strange look in his eye. It must be happiness. I haven't seen that light in him in a long time.

"Touya," I say softly, my heart beating out of my chest. "W...What?!"

Dabi chuckles, his hands rest on mine against his cheek. "If you were gay, I'd want to be with you."

I blink, feeling frozen against him. "I-I uh..."

Dabi smiles, just staring at me politely as if waiting for my confession.

I bite my lip, falling in loving with all over again. "I never said I wasn't."

Dabi's mouth opens slightly, his face holding a happiness and shock.

"Keigo," he says softly.

My thumbs rub at his cheeks lightly, pulling him closer to me. "Touya," I smile.

He leans in slowly, my heart pounding out of my chest.

"DABI, OPEN UP," a voice yells, banging on the door.

I jump, my wings expanding around me.

"Shit," Dabi whispers. "It's him. You should go."

"Right," I whisper back, grabbing my books. "Thanks for dinner." He kiss his cheek quickly before climbing out his window.

I see him holding his cheek, a brightness shining in his blue eyes. He smiles, waving to me as I fall gracefully out of the window.

I fly through the night sky, enjoying the beautiful night.

We almost kissed.
I almost kissed my best friend.

No...

This isn't right.
That would change things.

But he did say he wanted to break up with Kai.
That bastard interrupted my kiss...with his boyfriend.

I sigh, landing into the open window of my dorm room.

My head pounds with the image of Dabi. I can't get him out of my mind.

I grab my phone, dialing the number quickly.
