"I'm on my way Sai! I love you have a great day." You said as you kissed his forehead.

He replied while fixing your hair, "Have a great first day my love. What time are you coming home by the way?"

"Maybe a bit late, like eight or nine, since it's my first day. How come?" You looked into his eyes, puzzled by his question. Although you knew you shouldn't be too suspicious since it was your first day, something about the question seemed off.

"Well I don't know, I just wanted to know what time I should start dinner." He smiled, trying to shake off the awkward tension.

You accepted his answer and gave him another kiss, "Okay! Off I go."

As you walked out, locking the door even though he was inside—a precaution you both have always taken—you couldn't shake the uneasy feeling caused by Sai's question. You shook your head, wondering why you wouldn't trust your husband's word above all others. You ignored the feeling and put on a smile as you jumped into your car, ready to begin your day.

Your Pinterest board really helped you put together your business casual aesthetic. It was pretty basic, honestly, but you tried. You wore a burgundy blazer with a white button-up tucked into a matching burgundy pencil skirt and paired it with some nice heels. Your hair was done up nicely, just as you would for a date night or someone's wedding. You wore light makeup but with your signature lip gloss.

Sai had first bought it for you when you were dating, and you've worn it ever since. It's a token of appreciation to make the guy you love, love you even more.

You knew you might have overdone it with the outfit, especially since your new job was just in animation. Sai had told you so when you went shopping for new clothes for the job. You waved him off, thinking he was just being jealous.

Animation was something you had always dreamed of pursuing. Sai had always been skeptical, saying animation wouldn't bring in good money. Before, you worked as a receptionist in an office building. However, you didn't want your art degree to go to waste, so when you submitted your portfolio to a studio, you never expected to receive a job offer. Despite Sai's initial hesitation about relocating to another city for the job, the studio offered you a higher salary than his own job, and he eventually agreed to move with you.

This was your lifelong dream, and you were making it happen.

Of course, Sai also had to make significant changes. He was currently a househusband while searching for a job.

Sai was an accountant, but not the cutthroat, business bro type; he was actually very sweet. The two of you had gotten married just a year ago, quite young at 24, but you had been high school sweethearts since sophomore year. It was a no-brainer.

Sai always looked the same, with his pale skin, short brown hair, and black eyes. He was also quite thin.

You struggled to find parking, as the parking lot for employees was mixed in with the one for regulars. The building where you'd be working was large but narrow. With many windows, although they were tinted. It was very modern, like the office buildings in New York City.

DemonSlayer Corp was known for its amazing animations. When you were offered the position you couldn't believe they had decided to give you a chance. You never thought you'd make it far in the animation industry, especially after Sai landed a job that covered both of your expenses.

The entrance was empty, similar to a large hotel. There were sitting areas on both sides, elevators at each end, and a massive reception desk in the center. You've been here before, although it was a while ago, for your job interview.
