You lay in your bed, feeling restless late into the night because of what had occurred between you and Giyuu earlier that day. Tonight, you ended up ordering takeout, as Kyojuro was especially tired. He had apologized for keeping you at the office late, even though you had no more work to do for the day.

The awkwardness of the morning persisted into the night. You didn't speak much, if at all. You felt guilty, wondering if he was distancing himself because he was afraid to be led on.

Around midnight, you heard a knock on your door. Opening it, you were surprised to see Kyojuro standing there, wearing nothing but boxers. He also had something in his hand, which you assumed was ribbon, though it was too dark to tell for sure.

"Can we talk?" He muttered.

You hesitated, "Sure, come in."

It was very dark by this point, so you guided him inside. Now both of you lay on your bed. The silence stretched on for what felt like hours, though it was probably only about ten minutes.

"I talked to Shinobu today." He blurted out.

You weren't sure whether what he was about to tell you would be good or bad, so you braced yourself for the unexpected.

"You know, Shinobu and I used to be fairly close before you came." He said as he looked to the ceiling, "And that's not to say you ruined anything, I'm just giving you context."

All you could say was, "Okay."

"We talked to each other and apologized. And we did so because the tension between us wasn't healthy. Even if we both like you, we know it shouldn't ruin our friendship." Kyojuro explained.

You sighed and confessed, "God I thought you were going to tell me you guys argued. That would've made me feel worse. I don't want to lead either of you on, I'm just going through something and need time."

Kyojuro turned over to look at you, "No, we both understand you need time. But can you tell me, are you interested in her?" He asked.

You turned to face him, "No, not at all. And I'm being honest with you when I say I'm only interested in you. But I just have to think for myself for a while."

You could make out a smile on his face, "So we're good?" He asked.

You chuckled, "Yes, we always were good."

"Good." He muttered, his hands creeping towards your waist, "Can I?"

"Sure." You said as he pulled you into a hug.

You felt hot and nervous, unsure of what he was planning to say or do next.

All of a sudden, he got up and looked down at you, "I wanted to ask you something."

"Go ahead." You replied.

Kyojuro revealed what he was holding in his hand, "Do you want to finish what we started?"
