The Last Experiment (Y/N)

Epilogue

Wanda's POV:
"Mom get up it's your birthday," Natalia shouts jumping on our bed.
"If it's my birthday why are you so excited?" Y/N groans sleepily.
"Because I made you something and I want you to open it. You're going to love it Mom," she explains excitedly.
"I'm sure I will. Why don't you go and get Pietro up while I remember how to wake up?" Y/N laughs.
"Ok Happy Birthday mom," she says excitedly leaving our room.
"He's not going to be happy about that one," I sigh.
"Oh I know but it means I get to say good morning to my beautiful wife properly on my birthday," she smirks kissing me passionately using her powers to shut the door.
"Happy Birthday Y/N. You'll get your main present this evening when the kids go to stay at Nat and Carol's," I inform her biting my lip.
"Remind me why we had kids again?" She laughs.
"I'm glad you still want me after all this time," I say kissing her.
"I still think you're a goddess and you know I love having our own parties," she assures me.
"Oh I do. The quicker you get up the quicker you get your birthday present from me this evening," I smirk. She jumps up heading for a shower making me laugh.

We all get ready for the day before heading downstairs for Y/N to open her presents.
"Happy Birthday Mom," Pietro says hugging her.
"Thank you. Why have you got pen on your face?" She asks confused.
"Well Nat said if I didn't get up she'd draw on my face and I didn't get up so she drew on it. I tried to wash it off when I got ready but it won't come off," he explains. Y/N was laughing in her head but kept very composed outwards.
"Natalia what pen did you use? Can you get it for me?" I request. She nods and comes back downstairs with a permanent marker. Shit.
"Alright Nat don't do that to your brother again because it's permanent so it's going to be really hard to get it off ok?" I requests.
"Ok sorry Pietro," our 7 year old apologises.
"It's ok," he agrees.

Pietro and I stand at the kitchen sink trying to scrub the pen off while Y/N opens her first present from Nat. Nat is really talented at art and had done a painting which we framed of the 4 of us as Lions in the style of the Lion King. It was beautiful and Y/N loved it. The second was Natasha's idea so I was waiting for Y/N's reaction. When she saw them she burst out laughing. Natalia had gotten her socks with my face on it.
"Oh my god I love them. Look how cute you are Wanda. Thank you Nat," Y/N says excitedly hugging Natalia.
"It may or may not have been Auntie Nat's idea," I laugh. Pietro's face is less covered in pen now so we sit down to watch her open the rest of them. She opens Pietro's presents next. Pietro had bought her a soccer shirt as she has been taking the kids to games of our local Women's team. I hated going to matches with her because when the kids would wait after matches to meet the players they always eyed Y/N. It was frustrating. He also got her a new book to write lyrics in with a front cover that he designed himself.
"This is really cool. Thank you so much Pietro," she says hugging him tightly.
"Alright babe you've got a lot to do to try to upstage Nat and Pietro," she smirks.
*We both know I can give you something they can't* I think loudly making her blush. She pulls me onto her lap and kisses me gently before opening her first present from me. The first box was a beautiful necklace I saw online and had to get it for her.
"This is wonderful my love thank you," she says kissing me again. The next present is a really nice dress that she loved but wouldn't buy for herself. She's a big spender when it comes to me or the kids but not herself.
"You really shouldn't have but it is beautiful," she adds gratefully.
"You're welcome. Now the last one is sort of for all of us," I explain. She looks at me confused. Inside the final box is an envelope. She opens the envelope and it's tickets for Harry Potter studios in London.
"Babe are you serious?" She asks excitedly.
"Yep during the break we're going to take the kids to London," I reply smiling.
"I love you so much Wanda Maximoff. How did I get so lucky?"
"I'm the lucky one my love. I love you more," I whisper kissing her.

Around midday everyone starts arriving for a BBQ for Y/N's birthday. She starts the BBQ and I love seeing her all domesticated. I wrap my arms around her waist from behind kissing her cheek.
"You know I love seeing you in an apron," I whisper.
She turns around kissing me.
*I thought you preferred me without it* she smirks.
"Seriously you guys have kids now and you're still flirting like you're teenagers," Nat laughs.
"Thanks for the sock idea. I absolutely love them,"
Y/N says hugging Nat before showing that she's wearing a pair now.
"Happy Birthday," Carol replies hugging her.
"You can open your presents from us later while we look after your kids," Nat smirks.
"As if you don't love them as much as we do. I remember when we adopted them and we told you we were going to name Nat, Natalia after you and you cried for hours," I laugh.
"Just because she loves me more than you two doesn't mean you have to be rude to me," Nat snarks.
"Ooh grandma bites. Carol have you not been speaking Russian to your wife she seems a little cranky," Y/N teases Nat.
"Trust me I speak plenty of Russian. Скажи им Natalia (Tell them)," Carol says proud of herself. Nat blushes.
"She speaks Russian everyday," Nat assures us.
"You're still welcome for that," Y/N teases her.

"Hey guys. Happy Birthday Y/N. Thanks for having  us," Peter says excitedly hugging Y/N while Nat is dragged off by Nat and Pietro takes Carol to play soccer.
"Hey Peter you're welcome. It's good to see you both there's beers and wine in the fridge help yourselves," I reply. They both head inside to grab drinks while Y/N finishes cooking. We all sit down and enjoy our food. As we finish Pietro starts getting excited.
"Uncle Steve," he yells running down towards Steve and Bucky.
"I didn't get that welcome," Carol laughs.
"When he sees Wanda coming he runs the other way don't worry," Y/N teases and I nudge her.
*Behave or I'll cancel your final present this evening* I warn her in her thoughts.
"I mean Wanda is the kid's favourite parent. I don't know why I try. She's perfect in every way," she adds robotically making me laugh.
"I wonder why she changed her mind so fast," Nat laughs.
"Happy Birthday Y/N," they say in Unison.
"I thought Wanda and I were in sync but you two are really something. Also how come our son loves you more than us?" Y/N laughs hugging them both quickly.
"It's cause he's Captain America. You know kids worship him," Bucky teases him.
"And so do you," Steve laughs.

We have a wonderful day with all our family and friends. Y/N smiled the entire time and that's all that matters. The kids leave excited for their sleepover with their favourite Aunt's with Y/N and I ready for our own party. I make her wait downstairs while I sort out her final present. When I'm ready I call her up. I'm dressed in my combat gear that she always loved. As soon as she sees me her face lights up and she bit her lip shaking her head.
"God really is a woman," she smirks.
"Happy birthday baby," I say kissing her. She holds me against her by my waist. She starts kissing down my neck as she starts to take off my dress. I lie down on the bed and she recaptures my lips in hers.
"I'm so lucky to love you Wanda," she says kissing me again.
"I love you so much Y/N Maximoff."

We lay in bed together completely content in each other's arms, in each other's love.
"I never get tired of that," she states breathless.
"Oh I know baby I'm so glad we put that soundproofing in the walls," I giggle.
"When we first started dating did you think we'd be lying here 11 years later still completely in love with 2 kids and a beautiful life together?" She asks.
"No I was just hoping to finally have you reality instead of in my dreams," I tease her.
"See as much as you like to deny it you were obsessed with me from the first minute you saw me and you know that you loved me from our first date," she smirks.
"Yeah I was and yeah I did. Will you still love me when we're old and grey?" I inquire.
"I think I'll love you more then than I do now because I love you more and more by the day. Besides you're ageing like fine wine Wanda," she assures me.
"I didn't think I could be this happy for this many years without something awful happening but when I'm with you and when you look at me I feel invincible because in your arms and in your love I'm completely safe. You're a wonderful mother, wife and friend. From a hydra experiment to the woman I fell for to my everything. It's an honour and a privilege to love you Y/N Maximoff always and forever," I reply kissing her.
