The Last Experiment (Y/N)

Chapter 23

Wanda's POV:
Y/N didn't need as much help with her dreams anymore which was a good sign of progress. She was so happy and content. She got signed off by Dr Raynor yesterday so I wanted to do something special to celebrate with her. I went to Tony and begged him to let me take her away for a few days. They all agreed as Zemo was in custody and she had proven her loyalty. Y/N had no idea what was happening so I packed a bag for her last night. We had to leave in an hour so I decided to wake her up.

I kiss her cheek stroking her hair causing her to open her eyes slowly.
"Morning what time is it?" She asks sleepily.
"Early. I have a surprise for you. We're going away for a few days just us. I've already packed a bag for you," I explain. Her eyes open wide and she has the biggest grin on her face.
"Really?"
"Yep now get up and get dressed we leave in an hour," I say. She kisses me gratefully before getting up and ready.

Y/N's POV:
I was so excited to get out of the compound and to spend quality time with Wanda besides from watching a movie or lying in bed. We say goodbye to everyone. It was sad saying goodbye to Nat.
"Look after yourself ok. Or at least let Carol apparently she's pretty good at it," I tease her.
"Shut up you idiot. I'm going to miss you," Nat says hugging me.
"I'll be back to annoy you before you know it," I smirk.

We get in the car and I start driving us to wherever we're going. I'm not really sure where that is I'm just following the map app.
"So are you going to tell me where we are going?" I ask Wanda who's enjoying looking out the window.
"Well I've got us a little Airbnb for one night for us to go to the beach. Then I've got us a night in a hotel we can go swimming and have a fancy dinner maybe go to a club," she explains.
"Thank you for planning this."
"You're welcome. I can't wait to spend time with you," she smiles.

When we arrived the place was in the middle of nowhere away from absolutely everyone it was exactly what we needed. After we drop our stuff off we drive to the beach and just have the best time laughing and joking while the waves crash on the shore.
"Are you ever going to sing for me?" She asks.
"I mean I'm ok I don't know why you'd want to hear me sing," I mutter embarrassed.
"You're not ok you're amazing," Wanda assures me.
"Thank you. I'll sing for you one day I promise." She just smiled at me. God I love that smile. We head back to the cabin where there was fresh lemonade waiting for us. The owner had made it with the lemon trees on the property.
"This place is so beautiful," I say to my wonderful girlfriend.
"I'm glad you like it," she smiles and I give her a kiss.
"I know what we should do," she smirks.

I drive us to a bar not too far from where we're staying. Turning on the radio Wanda starts to sing along to All my life. I had no clue she'd even knew this song. She serenaded me all the way to the bar. I loved this side to Wanda. When we got inside we sat in the corner and ate and drank. She could really drink I was seriously impressed.
"Do you want another one?" I ask after downing a shot.
"Oh god know if I drank anymore I'd get surly," she replies. She starts singing along to the music.
"Are you serenading me again Maximoff?" I tease.
"I think you're just hearing things... I think you're drunk," she replies.

She takes my hand and we get up to dance around. There's no rules or drama just carefree fun. We danced and sung until we were thirsty. The bartender made us a cocktail and Wanda decided we should take a selfie to commemorate the day. We danced until the early hours of the morning just really enjoying ourselves and each other's company.

I teleported us back to the cabin where we lay down outside watching the stars.
"Where do you see our future Wanda?" My drunken filter non existent.
"I've been thinking about this a lot actually. I like the idea of us being Avengers for a few more years saving up enough money for somewhere away from the city not too far from the beach. Maybe we could see the world. I've never really travelled except for missions. Then we could get married and have kids I think I'd like a dog too," she explains. I take her hand putting it up to my head and show her the future I have planned for us. Images flash of her on our wedding day. With a dog she rescued and her with our kid. Her smiling and laughing. And us just being so happy for the rest of our lives.
"I love you Y/N," she whispers.
"I love you too." We gaze up the stars and Wanda falls asleep resting her head on my shoulder.
