If you're listening to this recording, I probably invited you to the park.

Now, at the end of this recording, you're going to take off your headphones, and dance with me.

I paused the recording and looked at Cece, "Dance?"

"Just listen to the recording babe." She waved me off, and I shrugged, playing it again.

In 10 days time, I'm going to get a girlfriend of the year award, trust me on that.

I want to dance with you because the first time you and I began slowdancing in Hawaii, it was a magical moment. A moment where our souls connected, became one, and we couldn't get enough of each other.

At that time, I couldn't kiss you. I was a scared little bitch, but today, I'm no longer scared. I want to do what i couldn't, and that's why I picked the perfext song, 'I promise' by Cece Winans. Yes, she shares my name but whatever.

Now, remove the headphones.

I slowly removed the headphones and watched as she stood, airpods in her hands. She picked the perfect time for this, it was almost dark and the sun was just setting. So the mood was perfect.

She reached out to me with her hands, and I took them. Placing an airpod in my ear, she let go of my hand and pressed play.

We moved slowly, my baby putting her head on my shoulder. I pulled her closer to me, and listened to the song carefully picking out the lyrics. She finally faced me, mimicking the singer as she said, 'And my love i promise you.'

I smiled at her, and we turned. She dipped me delicately, and our faces were so close to touching that I wanted to close the distance. She brought me back up slowly, and pushed a braid out of my face. The music continued playing as we stared at each other, and then we began dancing again, this time our eyes not leaving each other. As the song finished, I pushed some of her brown hair out of her face, and pulled her glasses up to sit on her forehead.

She chuckled, "I didn't wear contacts today."

"Doesn't matter, you're beautiful with or without them." I smile, and begin to lean in.

Before our lips can touch, she stops, "I love you, my chinchilla."

And as a response, I closed the distance.
