"It was a deal that was profitable for us."

Adam and Langa were in position to begin, the group standing behind.

The lights began to flash:

Red... red... red... red... GREEN!

"WHAT'S THE ROOKIE DOING?"
"IS HE STUPID?"
"THAT'S ALMOST AS DUMB AS HIS DUCT TAPE!"

The crowed gossiped at the sight of both males standing before them, neither of them starting.

Adam carelessly flicked open his cigarette tin, picking up one delicately and flipping it through his fingers. He was just about to light it before he noticed Langa out of the corner of his eye... waiting for him.

He chuckled lowly before turning to him. "Pardon my rudeness Snow. Shall we begin?"

The lights began again:

Red... red...red...red...GREEN!

They both took off, Adam instantly taking the lead.

"BE CAREFUL!" Reki roared, hoping his friend could hear him.

"No, no, that was okay," Cherry reassured him. "Adam won't push too far ahead of him, he'll get bored otherwise."

The two competitors took a sharp turn to their right, Adam still in front.

"Long distance relationships are so hard to maintain..." Adam grumbled, noticing how far back Langa was, the boy gradually gaining speed, "May I assume you've been well coached?"

"Adam is overpowered in both speed and technique." The h/c sighed, in worry.

"But," Cherry turned to her. "his strategy may be disrupted."

Joe faced Cherry " You're so bad, you just used that boy didn't you?"

The girl looked confused.

"It was a deal that was profitable for us." The man admitted.

Langa suddenly prepared to overtake Adam.

"Do you think he'll make it that far?" Miya gasped at the screen.

Langa sped in front of Adam, turning a sharp bend and flipping his board to do a Casper slide.

"NOW!" Adam began

The younger boy turned to face his malicious grin.

"THE TIME HAS COME!" He finished.
He began to dance on his board, slowly gaining speed on Langa.
