Secrets...

(Esther's P.O.V)

"I love you so much Nick." I cried fighting back tears as I released him.

"I love you too, beautiful." He said with a huge smile on his face. "Can you tell me what happened? I honestly don't remember."

I quickly caught him up on all that had happened leading up to his fall and the uneventful 3 weeks he was unconscious.

He looked around then back at me, "did our video win?"

"No, we didn't win." I answered shaking my head.

Our video was made of clips from our relationship to Top of the World, my favorite Anthem Lights song. We felt pretty confident in our music video, since everybody was supposed to make a music video for one of the band's songs.

"Oh that's too bad, I'll have to watch it again sometime." He said locking his eyes on me.

I looked at him thoughtfully, I'm so glad he's back! "So, I was talking to the doctor, if all goes well, you should be out in 6-8 days! If you are I have quite the surprise for you!"

"Really? You've now piqued my interest, what is it?" He asked.

"It's in just under 2 weeks, so you'll have to wait." I said smiling.

"Est! Why would you do that? You know I hate when you leave me wondering about things!" Nick whined.

"I wasn't going to tell you, but I wanted to make sure you don't do something stupid that keeps you here longer."

Miley walked in a few minutes later, "visiting hours ends in 5 minutes."

"Okay," I replied turning towards Nick. "Nick, you do know you about gave me a heart attack don't you?"

"Well, I didn't mean to!" He chuckled as I stood up.

"Well, you did!" I replied as I kissed his forehead and hugged him again before leaving.

The next few days flew by. 1 week after Nick woke up the doctor determined he was healthy enough to go home.

(Nick's P.O.V)

"Babe, thanks for everything!" I said kissing her cheek as we walked into our small 2 bedroom apartment.
We lived in the same apartment to save money and that's it. The both of us decided to live together yet separate at the same time. Esther was determined to obey her father's wishes that she stay a virgin and pure until she is married; so far nothing has stopped her from doing so. And I wasn't going to be the one to ruin the beautiful innocence she had.

"Are you hungry?" She asked me a little while later.

"Nah, I'm good," I answered then started patting the seat next to me. "Come here, relax."

She willingly sat down and rested her head on my shoulder.

"I love you," I told her kissing her temple.

"That goes both ways." She replied sleepily as she began dozing off to sleep.

(4 days later)

(Esther's P.O.V)

"Come on Nickolas!" I yelled as he slowly made his way up the church steps.
I had found out Anthem Lights was playing a show here, but it wasn't very well advertised, so the church seemed empty. It started in an hour, but I always like to get to concerts early to get the best seats. We found second row seats, only about 70 people were here, so it wasn't difficult.

"I can't believe you! You kept me in suspense for all that time for a concert?!" He asked surprised.

"Yes, are you saying you don't like it, because we can always go home. If that's what would want." I suggested in response.

"No, no, this is great!" He said hastily.

I recognized the pastor, Martin Riddle, walk by and after telling Nick to save our seats hurried over to say hi.

"Esther! It's great to see you!" Said the pastor giving me a side hug.

"It's wonderful to see you as well!"

"Are you ready for the show? It is going to be great!" He asked.

"Yes! I am so excited!" I replied. We chatted a few more minutes before I headed back to Nick. He was standing there talking to 2 people, their backs turned to me. As I sat down they left and Nick joined me moments later.

"Who was that?" I asked as Martin walked on stage to say a prayer and speak before the show began. This left me with no answer, but I had a feeling Nick wanted it to stay that way.
