~1 week later~

(Esther's P.O.V)

"Esther line 3, Esther line 3" said my boss over the intercom.

I hurried from my position where I was putting books up and to the nearest phone.

"Hello, this is Esther." I said.

"Ms. Marcus," said the voice I recognized as Dr. Hensley. "Your God has performed a miracle! Nick is waking up! You are welcome to come see him any time now."

I felt tears fill my eyes. "Oh my, wow, thank you so much for calling." I said feeling relief wash over me, as I searched for words. "You just brightened my whole day with this call!"

"I'm glad, good bye." He replied hanging up.

I rushed to my manager's office, "John, is there anyway I can get off a half an hour early?"

He looked up at me surprised, is everything okay?"

"Yes! Great actually! Nick is waking up!"

He smiled, "yes, you can go, I'm glad to hear he is doing better."

"Thank you so much! Bye!" I exclaimed joyously hurrying to clock out and leave.

(Nick's P.O.V)

I looked around, I don't know where I am. Then I spotted a nurse out of the corner of my eye fidgeting with a machine I was hooked up to. I turned to her.

"Miss?" I asked, "What happened?"

She smiled at me and answered, "you were in an accident, fell and hit your head."

"Oh," I said trying to remember more. "How long have I been here?"

She stood there thinking a minute, "3 weeks and you can call me Miley, I'll be taking care of you during the day until you are well enough to leave."

"Okay," I replied, dazing off as I thought about what had happened more.

Minutes later the most beautiful girl in the world walked in, well in my opinion she is. Next thing I knew Esther had me in a tight hug, I hugged her back to the best of my ability. After a minute I realized she wasn't planning to let go anytime soon. But hey, that's fine by me, it felt nice to be able to hold her.
