I'm sorry for the wait on this chapter! My family and I celebrated my birthday this weekend, and I have work, so there hasn't been much time to set aside in order to write

But, we're here now! So I hope you all enjoy :)

As the night came upon them, the two were able to fall asleep peacefully. They had no clue how things were going to go from this point on, but they had one thing they were sure of.

They had each other to rely on.

And that's all that matter to the brothers.

On a typical day for Tyler, he would usually wake up around 10:30 am, where he would then go downstairs and make himself a well-rounded breakfast. However, Tyler instantly knew that it wasn't going to be a typical day when he was violently shook awake at 9:00 am by his brother. His brain was too tired to understand the words that were coming out of the younger's mouth, so instead of trying to wake himself up, he just rolled away from his brother.

This only made the younger groan and continue to babble on about whatever he was talking about. After a few seconds Tommy had stopped talking all together, making Tyler smile slightly at the silence. But before he could get back into a peaceful sleep, he heard the small sound of footsteps coming closer at a rapid pace.

Before Tyler could even comprehend why he heard this noise, he groaned in pain. Tommy had taken a running start and jumped on top of the bundles of blankets, otherwise known as, his brother Tyler.

"Tommy, why did you feel the need to come in here and completely manhandle me like a wild baboon at 9:00 in the morning?" Tyler says, still hurt by the force of which his brother jumped on him from.

"Well, if you would have listened to me the first eight times I tried to wake you up, then I wouldn't have had go to my last resorts. Which, of course, was shaking and jumping on you" Tommy says, not moving from his spot, that was Tyler's back.

"Okay, but why? What is so important that I need to be up right now?" the older says, clearly wanting his brother to get on with why he was there in the first place.

"Well that, my dear brother, is an easy answer" Tommy says, smiling mischievously at Tyler.

Out of all of the places Tyler thought he was going to end up, the local dog shelter was definitely not one of them.

Apparently, Tommy had convinced their parents to finally get a dog. Which, Tyler would've been more excited about, if he wasn't so salty at Tommy for somehow persuading their parents in less than an hour to get a dog. Tyler had always begged their parents for a pet, more so when he was younger. However, their parents never budged... at least, not until now.
