Drista thought hard throughout the night. She watched the stars and the moon slowly move across the sky, and when she saw the first signs of dawn, it felt like no time had passed.

She held the stone in her hand. The glow had started to fade. It was losing energy, and had been ever since it had been ripped from its source. Drista wondered if this was what was making Dream so heartless, and so evil towards the world and people that he was supposed to be watching over.

Drista also thought about who actually owned the stone. Was it Dream, or was it someone else who gave it to Dream? She couldn't put a finger on it. The more and more she thought about the stone, the more she thought about where she came from. Was she just a creation? Or was she some daughter of something? If Dream was really her brother, there had to be a connection somewhere... Some clue about her family, or what she came from in the first place.

It almost sickened her to think that she might have just come from an energy source. Not a human. It made Drista scared, because it made her seem like she was nothing, and she had no purpose. But Drista pushed it to the back of her mind. That was the least important concern now.

Drista heard a yawn behind her. Tommy squirmed on the ground. "Shit... the ground is hard and ice cold..."

"Good morning." Drista said. She realized that her tone of voice sounded dead. Why was she like this all the sudden?

Tommy shivered and rolled onto his stomach. "It's freezing out here, but I want to sleep more..." He weakly glanced up at Drista, only to see that she had bags under her eyes and could barely look at him without yawning herself. "Did you get any sleep last night?"

"No. Dusk till dawn." Drista hid the stone behind her, and grabbed Tommy's arm. He groaned, and she hoisted him up and leaned him against the tree. However, it was a waste of energy, because he flopped right back down to the floor with a thud. "Is techno awake yet?"

Tommy shook his head. "No. He hasn't moved since he fell asleep. I don't think he has closed his eyes in days." Drista rubbed her own eyes, and Tommy looked back at her. "You probably haven't either. Why didn't you sleep when you had the chance?"

"Because. The stone stopped glowing, and I couldn't stop thinking about where I came from." Drista sighed. "I don't know, it's a weird feeling when you have no idea who your parents are..."

"Oh, I don't know where my parents are." Tommy said out of the blue. Instant regret spread across his face after he realized he interuppted. "Oops, sorry."

"No, keep going."

Tommy shrugged. "Well, technically, Phil adopted me. I don't know where my actual parents are." He fixed his hair a little before speaking again. "Honestly, I don't think Phil likes me very much. I'm really annoying, I always break the rules, you know, all that jazz."

"Sure he likes you, I mean, when did he take you in?" Drista was more interested in hearing about Tommy. She felt like she hadn't given anyone the chance to actually tell their own story yet.

"I really don't know." Tommy tried hard to find any memory of his parents or memories of him first meeting Phil, but nothing popped up. "I guess he might have took me in when I was younger. Like WAY younger. Phil won't tell me what happened, or basically anything about him 'finding' me or whatever. It almost feels like he didn't or something, or that I don't need to know anyways because I'm not important to him."

"Hey! Don't put yourself down. You are important to a lot of people." Drista was trying to be supportive, but she didn't have many ideas.

"Well, its hard not to. I know that Phil likes Wilbur the most anyways. He was always his best kid until, well, the incident."

"Oh, yeah." Drista tried to play along, but really, she couldn't recall Tommy or Techno telling her much about whatever 'incident' had gone on. She knew that Wilbur was a ghost, but she didn't know how he became a ghost.

"Well, I might as well wake Techno up soon." Tommy grabbed a flat stone and lit the fire. "I hate to ask you this so early in the morning, but can you find some bird eggs? It'll be the easiest to cook quickly."

"Ok." Drista replied. No questions, no retorts, no demands towards Tommy. She just went along to go get Tommy some bird eggs.
