3rd Person POV
Toshinori and Inko continued to congratulate Izuku on her strong quirk, but they forgot to consol their son on his quirkless status. Even worse, they failed to notice Izuku's efforts to catch up to them. When they entered their car Toshinori asked, ''Izumi where do you want to go for your birthday?" Izumi paused for a moment. ''HERO WORLD!" Inko smiled gently and said, ''Of course sweetie.'' Izumi buckled into her car seat, and the group of three drove off.
Meanwhile, Izuku was sprinting, trying to reach the car. He yelled, begging for them to stop, tears flowing from his eyes. His pleas for them to stop fell on deaf ears. But by the time he reached the parking spot the car had already driven off into the sunset, disappearing from his sight.
Izuku started to breathe quickly and his heart started to pump even faster, and his chest felt like it was crushing his lungs. ''They're leaving me. They're leaving me,'' he repeated over and over again. Izuku started to get light-headed and his vision started to blur; his world turned black.
However, when he woke up he was sitting at the curb with a rock in his hand. ''Wha,'' Izuku asked himself. The emerald-eyed child shook his head. He took a few deep breaths and calmed himself. ''This is fine. I'm fine. They'll realize their mistake and come back,'' Izuku whispered into the wind. Sadly, his family never did. For hours Izuku was sitting there at the curb, countless cars, people, and even heroes walking by but never questioning why Izuku was there. Even storm clouds gathered and rain started to fall. And even then no one offered help to Izuku, even when the poor boy started to bawl his eyes out.
20 minutes into the rain storm, when Izuku's tears had all but dried up he felt the rain stop hitting him. He looked around and saw Yami sitting next to him, umbrella in hand. ''How long have you been waiting here kid?" Izuku sniffled and hurriedly tried to hide his tears. ''H-Hey Mr. Sukehiro. I-I've been here since the end of the appointment. Don't worry though. My mom and dad will be back any second.'' Yami frowned. ''Alright kid, whatever you say. But how about I take you inside so you don't catch a cold.'' Izuku sniffled once again and stood up. ''SURE!" Yami followed suit and they walked back into the building.
''Kid if your parents haven't come by to get you by the end of my shift, I'm taking you to your house myself.'' Izuku knew he couldn't refuse so he agreed. ''Do you know your address?'' ''Yeah, it's the house on the left side of XXX street.'' Yami had a slight smile, glad he didn't have to work to find out where our green-haired protagonist lived. ''Alright, that's good. Only about 20 minutes away.'' Yami threw his coat to Izuku and said, ''Use this to keep you warm.''
***********************
Yami's shift at the office had come and gone and he was ready to leave. ''Alright, kid my shift ended. Let's get you home.''
Izuku hesitated for a moment. He knew better than to get into the car of someone he barely knew, but he had no other option. Following Yami to his car, Izuku got in and they drove off.
While the car ride itself was rather uneventful Yami decided to share some words of wisdom.
.Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger
.Life is always trying to teach you something
.If you can survive without anyone you can survive anything
.If someone hates you for no reason give that motherf***er a reason
However, the most important piece of advice Yami shared was, ''Don't let other people dictate your limits, because only you know your limits. And you can always surpass them.'' Unknowingly Yami had given Izuku advice that helped him through years of torment and help him form into a man.
When the car stopped and Izuku had gotten down he said, ''Thanks for the ride Mr. Sukehiro. Uhm...can I have another copy of your number. The one you gave me got wet.'' Yami deadpanned but had a small smile afterward. ''Sure, just me a second.'' He reached into his glove compartment and grabbed an old lottery ticket. Writing down his number he handed it to Izuku.'' ''There you go, kid. Bye. Hope to see you in better circumstances.'' ''BYE!"
Izuku walked to his door while Yami backed out of the driveway; knocking on the door she heard a very faint, ''I'm coming.'' However, he recognized it as his mother and he brightened up.
When Inko opened the door she was shocked, to say the least. She failed to realize that her son wasn't with them and it was 9:36 P.M. She left her son and didn't realize it for over 10 hours.
Confused, she asked "Did we leave you at the doctor's? Are you okay? Better yet who brought you here?" With a sad undertone, Izuku said "Yeah you left me, but I'm okay. Mr. Sukehiro gave me food and brought me here.", "Who's Mr. Sukehiro, he isn't a stranger right?" Izuku quickly denied the claim saying" No, he's the doctor that checked me and Izumi's quirks. He saw me waiting outside for you guys and told me that if you guys didn't pick me up by the end of his shift he would take me home."
Processing the information, Inko sighed and said "Izuku come in, it's too dark out." Izuku's face fell as he couldn't hear a single drop of worry in his mother's tone or mood. It was just surprise. With a forced smile, he walked in and went to his room. ''Goodnight mom,'' Izuku whispered as he passed by her side. And to his surprise, his mom didn't respond. He frowned and went to say goodnight to his father and sister. However, his head was pounding and he could have sworn he heard screams. Then, when the screams quieted down his world went black for the second time.
When he returned to consciousness he saw himself standing over a sleeping Izumi, a horde of presents around her. ''When did I,'' Izuku asked as he looked around. Quietly he walked out of her room and went to his room.
As for his parents, they were lying in bed. ''Did you notice that we left Izuku at the doctor's?" ''No, we didn't he was-,'' Toshinori paused and tried to think of where Izuku was when they went to Hero World. ''How didn't we notice,'' he asked. ''I don't know, but let's give him some space. I could see he was angry after he walked out of his room.''
''Alright. Yeah, let's give him some space,'' Toshinori mumbled.
***********************
Izuku woke up at recess. He didn't remember leaving his home, he didn't remember eating breakfast, and he didn't remember class. He just woke up at recess in the sandbox, help us written in the sand. Izuku was worried about what was happening to him, but his thoughts disappeared as he heard someone plop down next to him.
''So Izuku how's it going?" Izuku turned to his right, seeing his best friend.
Izumi 3rd Person POV
Izumi was pulled away by her friends Katsuki and Katsumi Bakugo, and Shoto and Shoka Todoroki at the beginning of recess. Katsuki was the first to speak and had a proud grin on his face. ''Hey Izumi, what are you and your brother's quirks?"
''Oh I have my Mommy's quirk but stronger. it's called Energy Ma-Man-Manipulation.''
Izumi then paused for a bit and continued "and Izuku is, well he's quirkless." Everyone released a slight gasp. Izumi looked down. ''I know and he still wants to be a hero. He's going to get hurt badly. What should we do?"
Everyone looked at each other and started to think. After a few minutes, Katsuki suggested, ''We could beat him up with our quirks.'' Immediately everyone started screaming in outrage. Katsuki scowled. ''HEY SHUT UP! Think about it. When me and Katsumi do something wrong our mom hits us until we learn to stop. He'll give up and after that, it's happily ever after.''
Katsumi and Izumi could see the logic and only needed a few more minutes of convincing to agree. However, Shoka said, ''That's stupid. It won't work.'' Shoto nodded. ''She's right.''
Katuski glared at the twins offended that they believed his idea wouldn't work. ''Fine. Just don't get in the way 'cause when it works you'll be thanking us.''
With that Izumi, Katsuki, and Katsumi walked towards Izuku, convinced it would work.
