Chapter 35: God What Have We Become?

Another short chapter since I haven't had the inspiration/will to write lately. Don't worry nothing will be cancelled. To understand this chapter there are 3 things you need to know that I forgot to add, at least I think. The children were punished by therapy, quirk-canceling cuffs, and a threat that they would be expelled if they did any acts of violence against innocent people.

Nezu POV:

For the first 30 or so minutes after the school day ended, I was looking for Izuku through the cameras. I was starting to regret putting so many cameras in the school. It took a substantial amount of time to look through all of them, but then again he didn't appear in any of them. Eventually, I looked through all the cameras in the gyms and nearby streets.

I finally found him in Gym Alpha, along with Hikaru, his dog, and a few students from 1-A. Izuku had 2 students as did Hikaru. I connected to the microphones in there and listened in to their current conversations. It wasn't entertaining until the Yagi's entered and tried to drag Izuku to their home. Not physically, but tried to persuade/command him. It was quite clear he was restraining himself as to not murder them. As to whether it was to not traumatize the students further or to not kill in front of Hikaru was unclear. Most likely the latter and not the former.

Either way, Izuku wasn't speaking and trying to keep his exposure. He was simply waiting it out until Hikaru ran up to the group and started to try and explain that Izuku is trying to recuperate from all of his trauma. Then Izumi smacked Hikaru and screamed, "SHUT UP! YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING YOU LITTLE BRAT! NOW GO HOME AND WAIT IN YOUR ROOM!"

While in retrospect my reaction of being excited that I would be able to expel her was not appropriate, I was emotional/glad.

Anyways I fully expected Izuku to attack since he made a sword but out of nowhere he made it disappear. Instead, Hikaru screamed out in an angry tone, "I'M THE BRAT?! I'M THE ONE THAT DOESN'T KNOW ANYTHING?! HOW ABOUT YOU 3. IZUMI YOU ACT LIKE YOU DESERVE EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD AND HAS NEVER DONE ANYTHING WRONG! YOU ARE THE DEFINITION OF A BRAT! FOR GOD'S SAKE YOU HAVE BEAT IZUKU TO NEAR DEATH! NOT TO MENTION THE TIME YOU BROKE MY BACK! IF IT WASN'T FOR A DOCTOR WITH A SPECIAL QUIRK I WOULD BE PARALYZED." Then he turned to Inko and Toshi. "AND YOU 2! YOU HAVE NEGLECTED 2 OUT OF THREE OF YOUR CHILDREN! CONGRATULATIONS! YOU HAVEN'T EVEN NOTICED I HAVEN'T LIVED WITH YOU GUYS FOR OVER 7 MONTHS. YOU DIDN'T EVEN VISIT ME IN THE HOSPITAL WHEN IZUMI BROKE MY BACK! HELL, YOU CAN'T EVEN UNDERSTAND THAT IUZKU HATES YOU! YOU CAUSE HIM SO MUCH PAIN BUT YOU THINK A SIMPLE 'SORRY' WILL FIX EVERYTHING! WELL THINK AGAIN! IT WON'T, IT WON'T FIX THE DECADE OF TRAUMA YOU ALL CAUSED HIM! SO THE NEXT TIME YOU TRY TO FORCE HIM BACK I WON'T STOP HIM FROM KILLING YOU 3." Then he said something else that I didn't hear, but that didn't matter as I could finally set court dates for the three of them. See...the current government does not care for the quirkless or any diagnosed as such. As a result, All Might, Telek, and Izumi would not face any repercussions for neglecting and abusing a wrongly diagnosed quirkless child.

However the same done to a child gifted with a relatively strong quirk, and all 3 being legally seen as adults, I could finally present a legal case against them. I didn't even have to worry about crime rates rising up because villains and criminals are no longer scared of AllMight. They're scared of the Reaper because he isn't afraid to kill, no he does it out of joy, and with 2 genetic clones with the same mentality crimes rates would drop to practically 0.

This entire situation was perfect and I started cackling like a mad scientist. Then I called in the teachers that are involved in Izuku's past to the teacher's lounge and explained the situation. All of them were glad they could now issue lawsuits to the Yagi's but Aizawa screamed out while standing up, "YOU MEAN TO TELL ME NONE OF US NOTICED THAT HIKARU HAD HIS BACK BROKEN AND HASN'T BEEN BACK TO THE YAGI HOME IN MONTHS AND NONE OF US NOTICED!?" He then went to sit down and rubbed his forehead. "God, what type of family are we? We didn't notice this and when we were told this happened we were more excited about lawsuits finally being able to be issued than worried about his health." Then it all sank in for everyone in the room. We did the same to Hikaru that we did to Izuku and we didn't care, we didn't even try to be better.
