Chapter 9: Meeting Zabuza.

{A/n: There will be a long talk with Tazuna aka the bridge builder so if y'all don't like it and already know the backstory with The Land of Waves then you can skip it but if you enjoy reading backstories then please read on, enjoy 😊}

3rd POV:
Team 7 and Tazuna were currently in a motorboat but without using the motor as it sails across the body of water. You looked up to Kakashi and Tazuna talking to each other so you closed your eyes with a calm smile on your face and just listened to the waves splash back and forth and hit the side of the boat and the squeaking of the boat. A heavy fog was covering Team 7's view.

"This fog's so thick. You can't see anything." Sakura whispered while looking around. As the boat kept going Naruto sniffed like he was tired of smelling the water that was all around them. The boat sailor kept rowing the boat, "The bridge isn't far now. Our destination is just ahead, the Land of Waves." The boat sailor said as he kept rowing.

You opened your eyes to see your teammates looking straight at you. You had a confused smile on your face as you started touching your face, "Do I have something on my face?" You ask with your head tilted to the side a little bit still wearing your confused smile.

Your teammates looked away from you with pink blushes going across their faces. You looked up to see the huge half-built bridge, you gasped softly making your team look at you and then at what you were looking at. When your team looked up, Sakura gasped softly as well, Sasuke had his normal look, and Naruto had wide eyes.

"Woah, it's huge!" Naruto yelled out, forgetting to whisper. The boat sailor sent a hard shush towards Naruto, "Quite, I told you no noise. Why do you think we're traveling like this huh? Cutting off the engine, rowing, moving through the dense fog, so they don't see us." The boat sailor said, looking around, making sure no one was there.

Kakashi looked at Tazuna, "Mr. Tazuna before we reached the pier, I want to ask you something." Kakashi said, but Tazuna didn't say anything. "The men who are after you, I need to know why. If you don't tell us, I'm afraid I'll have to end this mission when we drop you at Ashour." Kakashi said all of Team 7 looked at Tazuna. "I have no choice but to tell you. No, I want you to know the truth. As you said this is beyond the scope of the original mission. The one who seeks my life is a very short man who casts a long and deadly shadow." Tazuna said, "A deadly shadow?" Kakashi asked, "Hm, who is it?" Kakashi asked again, "You know him, at least I'm sure you've heard his name before. He's one of the wealthiest men in the world, the shipping magnate, Gatō." Tazuna said, "Huh?! Gatō!? Of Gatō transport!?" Asked with a wide eye, "He's a business leader, everyone knows him!" Kakashi said, "Who? Who? What? What?" Naruto asked as you put a finger to Naruto's lips telling him to be quiet and listen with a calm but gentle smile making Naruto blush and everyone else glare at Naruto without you noticing. You turned around to Tazuna telling him to continue. "Gatō, he's a very powerful type coon from a famous company, that's true, but below the surface with the same ruthless methods he uses to take over businesses and nations, he sells drugs and contraband using gangs and ninjas," Tazuna said, remembering hearing a gunshot and a scream.

"It was one year ago when Gatō first set his sight on The Land of Waves. He came to our island and used his vast wealth to take total control of our transport and shipping. Anyone who tried to stand in his way simply... disappeared. In an island nation, a man who controls the sea controls everything. Finance, government, our very lives. But there's one thing he fears, the bridge. When it is complete, it will join us to the land, and that will break his control." Tazuna said as he looked up to the bridge. "I am the bridge builder," Tazuna said. You understood the whole story and never liked hearing Gatō's name.

"So that's it since you're in charge of the bridge, you're standing in this gangster's way," Sakura said, pondering the whole story she just heard. "That means those guys we fought in the forest.... they were working for Gatō," Sasuke said as you nodded your head. "Ahh, hmm," Naruto said, still trying to understand the story he just heard.
