It was mid-july when the strange women first visited Teddy. She was tall and had a slight soccish accent, and her hair was pulled back in a tight bun. Her features were stern, strict even.
Teddy had been summoned to the small office the head caretaker resided in. Her name was Mrs. Pocket and she helped oversee everything moving smoothly at the Blue Sky Orphanage.
Teddy shuffled into the room, expecting punishment, the other kids didn't like him, they thought him weird, and the nanny's thought no better of him.
When he looked up though, he didn't expect to see someone else, his hair flashed bright pink to reflect his surprise. He could change his appearance at will, but sometimes his hair changed color depending on his emotions. He settled down and changed his hair back to the aqua blue that it normally resided as.
The woman turned in her seat to look at him. She smiled softly, "Why don't you sit down Mr Lupin." She requested, though it was more of a demand.
Teddy sat on the only open chair behind the desk, next to the strange woman. "Who are you?" He asked.
"I'm Professor Minerva McGonagall, I'm a teacher at your new school." She said,
"New school?" Teddy asked, confused.
"Yes, Mr. Lupin, you have been accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry."
Teddy was shocked. What was this woman talking about?
"No, you must be mistaken. Who are you?"
McGonagall looked at him over her glasses "I believe the better question is, who are you, Teddy Lupin?"
"I'm-I'm just me, normal Teddy, nothing wizardy or witchcrafty about me."
McGonagall gave him a stern look "May I ask, Mr. Lupin, have you ever done something you can't explain? Have things ever vanished, floated or exploded? And for the love of Merlin, look at your hair, it changes color without dye. You're a wizard, Teddy Lupin. And I'm going to take you to a school where we can teach you how to control your gifts."
Thoughts were flying around Teddy's head like race cars, Hogwarts, wizard, school. As much as this seemed crazy, Teddy was starting to believe it.
"So I'm a wizard?" Teddy asked. Mrs. Pocket made a sour face, but McGonagall nodded.
"Were my parents a witch and a wizard? Did they go to Hogwarts, also, what kind of name is Hogwarts?" Now that Teddy believed her tale, he wanted to know more about this world of magic, and the crazy fact that magic existed.
Teddy thought he saw a slight sadness in McGonagall's eyes, "Yes, your parents went to Hogwarts," She said "And as for the name Hogwarts, that's just what the founding fathers chose."
"Okay," Teddy was starting to feel more comfortable around this woman, she was friendly, and besides, she would take him away from this horrid orphanage.
"What's next Minnie?" He asked.
McGonagall raised an eyebrow and fished a letter from her coat pocket. It had a wax seal and said:
HOGWARTS SCHOOL of WITCHCRAFT and WIZARDRY
She handed Teddy the letter and he opened it to read:
Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore
(Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc., Chf. Warlock,
Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. of Wizards)

Teddy looked at McGonagall "Where am I going to buy all this stuff? And how will I get there? What does it mean they wait for my answer by owl?" He asked.
"I'll take you shopping tomorrow. All questions will be answered in time. As for how you'll get there, you take the train." She said with a sparkle in her eyes.
She stood up and straginted her robes, "I'll see you tomorrow at 8 o'clock sharp Mr Lupin, have a nice evening." And with a polite nod to Mrs. Pocket, she vanished.
How was that? Let me know what you think!
