Genesis Chapter 3

Reunited

Opening scene- we open with a shot of sam and matt making breakfast at their home. Matt is whipping pancake batter and sam is making some eggs. There is music playing in the background. We see matt take some batter from the bowl and place it on his finger he then runs a line of it under each of his eyes like a football player does. He turns to sam who sees it and laughs. All of this is muted over the music. Sam then goes over to him and kisses him gently and then she grabs some of that batter and makes a messy line of matt's face. They then begin to have a food fight and they seem so happy. We then hear a voice talking to someone.

Voice: okay, hit it again. We then hear a scream of pain and the scene in the kitchen distorts and we see matt scream as we zoom out and we are back in the room from the last episode. Liz is with another man in a lab coat. Anything?

Scientist: he seems to be fighting the full effect of the electroshock.

Liz: well then increase the voltage, i need to speed this up! Angry with the lack of progress.

The man pushes the button again and matt lets out another horrifying scream of pain. Liz walks over to him. Whats your name?

Matt: exhausted from the pain. Matt Jackson. His head is down from being unable to hold it up. Liz then walks back to the scientist and grabs a photo of sam. She then grabs matt by the hair and forces his head up.

Liz: and whos this?

Matt: looks at the photo of sam. Barely in a whisper. Sam.

Liz: who is she to you?

Matt: she's my best friend.

Liz: frustration seeping into her voice. Wrong answer. She turns and nods her head to the scientist who pushes the button again and matt yells in pain. The scientist releases it but liz turns to him. No. keep going.

Scientist: he may not be able to withstand it.

Liz: yelling at the man. I dont care! Keep going! The scientist holds the button and matt passes out from the pain. Oh you dont get off that easy, wake up. She repeatedly slaps him. She holds the photo up again and repeats the question. Who is she?

Matt: didnt respond, barely conscious. Liz slaps him again. He looks at the photo. S-s-sam.

Liz: and who is she to you? Matt looks at the photo for a second and looks confused.

Matt: i-i dont know. Liz cracks a smile.

Liz: she stands up. Good, now we're getting somewhere. She turns to the scientist and nods her head/ he pushes the button again and matt lets out a scream. We then cut to sam jolting awake in her bed gasping like she had a nightmare. She instinctively reaches for matt but when doesnt feel anything there, She looks to the empty side of the bed. She begins to cry and we hear a knock at the door. A voice from the other side of the room.

Ryan: sam? You okay? Sam stops crying and wipes her tears.

Sam: yeah, im okay. Sorry.

Ryan: theres a pause as ryan attempts to think of something to say to cheer her up. I miss him too. But we'll find him, I promise. We hear ryan walk away and sam lays down on her side facing the empty side of the bed. Theres a photo of the two of them on the nightstand. She reaches over and grabs it. She looks at it and begins to cry again. We slow fade up and then we cut to the morning and sam is asleep, the photo next to her on the bed. We hear a knock on the door which causes sam to wake up. Hey, i made breakfast for everyone.
