Aubrey's POV:
"Do you think he'll come?" I ask Julie, tomorrow 'The King' would be premiering at the Venice Film Festival, Sebastian had been invited when we were still together but now that we've been broken up, he hadn't been uninvited.
Julie, who was laying beside me on the hotel bed, looked up to the ceiling and thought for a few seconds. Then she groaned in mock frustration, "Girl, you need to let go of that man, how lang has it been? Months, he even got a new girlfriend."
"Ugh, please don't remind me."
"Babe, you need a rebound."
Sebastian's POV:
"You're actually gonna go?" Don asked, "Man, that's another level of petty, another ten."
With a groan I pick up the weights again, pushing them away from me with all the strength I can muster.
"Yeah, why not? We both moved on, it's fine."
"Mhm, yeah, sure."

Aubrey's POV:
Just two days ago Julie, Timothée and me drove from Paris to Venice, where 'The King' was being released, at the 76th Venice Film Festival. To have my first movies, not so much mine as it was Timothée because my part was very minor, premiere there was an honour, the Venice Film Festival is one of the world's oldest film festivals and is very prestigious.
My dress was a pale purple and in an old Hollywood inspired style, to pay a tribute to the festival. The dress hit the floor but when walking it flowed and showed of a glimpse of the silver Jimmy Choo's I was wearing underneath it. The accesoires where minimal, with a dangly pair of earrings and a scarf that matched the dress.
Arriving at the festival was just as chaotic, if not more, chaotic than a classroom when the teacher had just left. All around me I heard voices, telling me to look this way or the other, the flashes of cameras practically blinded me as I tried to smile and look pretty.
But through all the chaos I could still see a man with brown hair, build, and very blue eyes. Which I couldn't actually see but knew where there.
That fucker. You don't just show up to your ex's premiere.
He wasn't supposed to show up. For the last month he had been acting hostile to everyone, Anthony who I had texted from time to time had told me so, and he even got a new girlfriend so what was he doing here?
Someone pulled my arm, "Smile and walk." I heard Timothée say, he was standing right next to me. I had been frozen, not believing he actually had the guts to show up, and not moving a single muscle. Not a good look. I plastered a smile on my face and continued to walk the carpet laid out for us.
