[ ]Chapter 11
[ ]The thought of meeting with Ashley's attorney had popped into her mind while she slept and Andrew had smiled at it.
[ ]She had said, "Ashley Thomas had been good friends with my brother. And she sure did have a lot of money. But I don't think my brother would kill her for that money.
[ ]The lawyer studied their faces carefully and confided, " From her letter to me, she had rich relatives and two good friends, Andrew and Angus, "he paused to see Andrew's reaction, a nolstagic smile, then continued, " one rich, Andrew and the other having an unstable financial status due to death of parents, Angus."
[ ]He straightened in his chair, "She knew people were after her life, so she decided to make her will at a young age. She then paid emergency visits to everyone, Andrew, relatives. Finally, she took a trip to Newyork to see Angus, where she unfortunately was followed, and killed. Luckily, she had made her will already. Not thinking her relatives or Andrew were in need of money, she had willed everything;house, money and every other asset to Angus's name which now makes the police suspect him."
It all made sense to him now. Andrew requested, "Can I have a copy of that will?"
The attorney nodded, "Anything to help son."
They smiled at eachother in satisfaction, one problem gone, two to go;saving Angus and catching the murderers. Murderers first.

Angus came back to reality from a deep sleep. He shook in his chair and bit the gag around his mouth down. The trouble he had gotten himself into was deteriorating. Even the heat could boil liquid.
The inspector smiled at him, "Sometimes I pity you. Well, blame your sister. She was being too stubborn."
"Oh shut up! It's called wisdom, " Angus spat.
Davis laughed, "Really. It's a long time I checked up on her. Why don't we both see where her wisdom is taking her now."
He sent a call to Daniella and put it on speaker mode so Angus could here. It rang for a while as the cop raised his gun to his mouth indicating  Angus had no right to speak.
Finally, Dani answered, "Hello."
He smiled mockingly, "How are you doing Daniella?"
She joked, "Oh! What do you know? I'm doing great yunno, with a kidnapped brother and a guilty heart...epic."
He frowned now, "Don't feel guilty, it's justice. How's it going?"
Daniella glanced at Andrew with humor, "It wasn't easy but I managed to melt his heart. Infact now, bit by bit, he's confiding in me, falling deeper. Yunno what,  he'd be in jail not long from now."
Andrew laughed silently as they listened to his reply, "You are such a loyal agent now, keep it up.Your brother misses you, " he glanced at Angus who rolled his eyes away, then continued, "I see you've now moved in with Andrew."
Dani smiled, "Oh yes, we even share the same room." She winked at Andrew who smiled innocently at her attempt at flirting. Angus frowned at the inspector in confusion when he heard Dani's reply. How he prayed it was all part of a small plan of hers.
Davis then nodded, "Have fun."
He ended the call and smiled at Angus, "Who's wise now?"
Angus kept quiet. He hoped his sister was just being deceitful towards this man.

Before Andrew's trip to Newyork with Daniella to join Janet and Matthew, he knew he had to find the entire details about Eleanor's death as proof to the cop. Afterwards, his trip to Newyork would be to prove Angus's innocence. Then come back to expose Alex to his father and the masked man to the entire Texas. How easy it was writing the plans? It was going to be a lot harder to execute them.
Taking a sit with Daniella, he thought, "I don't even know where to start from to find out about Eleanor's killer."
Daniella sat up and smiled,"Let me help. Why don't we take a cab to three years ago where I was still in New York and you, here in Texas living with your family, being happy, knowing Eleanor but not the fact she would die."
Andrew put his pen in his mouth, his notepad on  his thighs, "Okay. The cab is at its destination."
Dani continued,"You said they are always after those close to you."
He creased his forehead, "And coincidentally those who knew someone was killed by them. Eleanor knew about Ashley and Jennifer knew about both."
Daniella seemed to frown,  "How did Eleanor know about Ashley?"
"I told her, " Andrew replied.
"And how did you know, " she asked him.
He answered again non-chalantly, "She told me."
Daniella almost asked 'Who told her' until she thought twice.
Nodding, she continued, "She did not tell you why, did she?"
Andrew shook his head, "Don't remember. Just the person she knew was planning to kill her."
"Was there any grudge?"
"No. On the contrary, they were great buddies in highschool."
"Wow, such irony. You sure Alex was the killer?"
"Swear on my beanies."
"And you are very sure there were no grudges?"
"No grudges... Uhm, I think... Wait, there was this time we had this crazy boy's gossip and Alex talked hating Ashley with all his life."
Daniella had hope in her eyes,  "While they were appearing to be great buddies."
"Yep!"
"Such deceit, why?"
"She did not help him in this exam that made him fail one session. His father got the light of day outta him that time."
"Is that a good enough reason to want her dead?"
"I guess not but the hatred stuck and grew... Until... She died."
"Hmmm. Climax! Did anything happen concerning them that you think may push Alex off the edge?"
"Good thinking. Ashley confided in me often, telling me how she felt Alex was getting too involved with trouble. He joined Robber Mortie's company, smoked with the guys and stayed out with these weirdoes the cops hated. And she tried talking him out of it. The new friends we speak of now began to hate her and she said she heard sidetalks about trying to STOP her from taking away one of their best members."
"Do you think they influenced him badly?"
"Yes, and maybe he combined it with his growing dislike and the last fact she threatened to tell his father. Like indirectly killing him."
"So he killed her?"
"Fair enough."
"She was actually telling you the reasons all along."
"I guess so, but now,  we need to find something about Eleanor."
"Good Eleanor. Those guys Alex hung out with. If Eleanor died about the same time as Ashley because she knew they killed her, it's extremely possible they had something to do with her death."
Andrew smiled, "Good point."
"Thanks. So now, we find them."
Andrew sighed his appreciation as he looked down at his book and nodded.
