Chapter 19
Davis landed hard beside Angus's chair, tied and gagged.
Alex spat ruefully, "Next time,  do not interfere in my business."
Rolling his eyes, Davis watched his son walk out with some men. He mumbled, sweated and looked up at Angus, an apologetic look in his eyes.
Angus smiled, "I understand. It's not your fault. Any father would go extra miles for his kids. Unfortunately, Alex does not understand that."
Davis struggled to seat up and bowed low, a posture of regret and disappointment.
Angus continued, "I never had the privilege of a father's love. The one who does spits at it. Like it or not, your son has to pay for it. And I'm afraid you have to let it happen."
Davis looked at him. He knew he was right. Alex had to suffer the consequences of his actions, even if it meant arresting him himself. They just had to wait for Andrew's return.

Andrew zipped the box close, thinking of the messages he had gotten from Alfonso. Daniella watched him in fear. She thought she had seen the worst of his anger until now. He was just there packing his clothes as if an appocalypse was going on.
Sighing, she decided to ask, "What is it Andrew?"
"Nothing's wrong, " he replied simply.
Dani walked up to him, "C'mon. You can talk to me. I know something is wrong."
Finally, he looked at her, "We are leaving tomorrow."
Daniella raised a brow, "That seems to obviously be your intention. Why are you angry?"
Andrew hesitated and watched her sadly, shaking his head afterwards.
She clutched his shoulders in fear, "What is it? Is anything wrong. What happened to Angus? Andrew! Talk to me."
Andrew faced her completely now and gripped her arms, "Things are not so good in Texas. Alex is getting worse and... We need to go back."
Dani still stared at him expectantly,  "You have not still answered my question."
Andrew let her go and faced his belongings, a little pain in his throat. Then he faced her again.
How dare Alex touch his sister? The grudge is with him but he went as far as affecting those he loved. To sum it up, Alex now had his very own father tied up in a warehouse.
He was on his way to being a devil. If he was not one already.
Andrew sighed. If he vowed not to ever kill anyone, he may have to break that one little oath.

Just as before,  the flight home was quiet and awkward, except for when Matthew came keeping her company. Janet just sat, so glued to a book she had.Daniella looked out the window,  trying to think of whether they would win or not.
Andy's abduction, Davis's ambush and many more crimes on Alex's side made it difficult for her to understand how his heart worked.

Alan and  Rollins were at the airport when the landed, an eager look on their faces.
Giving his duffel bag to Rollins, Andrew asked, "Do you know their hideout yet?"
Alan took Daniella's box and replied instead, "Yes. A warehouse at the estate's gate. Not in use for years. That dude's crossed it."
Andrew stopped and made a phone call, "Hello. You all come by Dani's place tonight. Tell the others, would you. Thanks."

The clash and struggle had begun. Daniella had returned to her home along with Andrew. If there was one thing in the world they needed, it was privacy.
Laying the blue print on the table, Alfonso took off his hat and faced the entire crew gathered around, "Alex has his men all over. No problem there, unless that masked dude shows up."
Rollins leaned back in his chair, "Why do I fear that guy?"
Dani spoke up, "I'd just have to kill the man myself."
All eyes on her, she continued, "Andrew taught me a little about using guns."
Matthew let out a tiny laugh, "It's not used to weigh cabbages sweetheart."
Andrew attacked, "I also gave her a few tips of being me."
Janet pulled out a rifle and threw it to her,  "Then you'd need this."
Daniella struggled with its unexpected weight,  "When are we doing this exactly?"
Andrew confirmed, "I don't know but it's not tomorrow. I'd be preety busy."
Looking around the room, Dani grimaced, "Do not tell me you are leaving me again."
"Well I would be, "Andrew grinned, " But if anyone shows up, show him a little bit of what I taught you darling, okay. Just a little bit. Do not kill him?"
Studying the gun in fear, she swallowed, "Okay. I'd be fine."
Andrew nodded and smirked. He did hope someone came.

Blaze watched her house carefully and spoke into the phone, "She's home alone."
Alex replied, "I know that. Can the both of you just hurry up? And do not get killed this time."
The call ended and Blaze crossed the street with Cruise,  looking around carefully.
Standing at the back of the house, Blaze kicked it open.
Daniella looked up from her food and picked up her rifle. The noise had alerted her. Scurrying through to the back door, she gawked at it on the floor. Someone had broken in.
A voice from behind her spoke, "How are you doing?"
Turning around,  she aimed at him, "What do you want? You have not still recovered from Andrew's last beating and you are here again. Trust me, he would kill you this time."
Cruise smiled, "Nah! I just came to check up on you."
Blaze tiptoed quietly from behind with stretched arms.
She continued, "What are you looking for?"
He stated, "We want you."
Daniella frowned, "We?" Jusf then, a hand came over her mouth.
Blaze tightened his hold around and seized her gun. Throwing it to Cruise, he clutched her again.
Cruise aimed at her, "Now, walk out!"
Blaze forced her out, a determined look in his eyes. When Cruise confirmed there was no one in the usually empty streets of the estate, Blaze appeared with Dani and pushed her into the car. Cruise drove them out in utmost hurry.
Appearing from the side of his house,  Andrew smiled. They had kidnapped her and would probably keep her at the warehouse. Plan A worked. Now,  plan B had to. He did not think he would let them kidnap Daniella as he stood and watched for nothing. They needed him; so hopefully, they would not hurt her.

Dani struggled with Blaze who forced her into the warehouse. She attacked the fist around her wrist, hitting and biting, "Let.. Me.. Go!"
Blaze pushed her into the section where Angus and Davis were kept.
And unfortunately, Alex was present too, "Oh finally, I never thought I would lay my eyes on you again." Facing his father,  he continued, "Who's in charge now?"
Cruise spoke from the doorpost, "I'm confused though. It was far too easy unlike what I expected. You do not think Andrew would leave her alone there when he knows what's at stake."
Alex grinned at Angus and replied, "He may actually have been too busy planning on how to stop me that he lost another."
Angus spat calmly, "Oh shut up kid. You are still very naive. No matter what you achieve, Andrew is still one step ahead of you."
Alex snatched the gun from Cruise's grip and pointed at Angus.
Daniella pleaded wearily, "Stop this okay... Angus, please stop talking."
Alex faced Daniella then returned his gaze to Angus before lowering the gun reluctantly, "As long as you are all, I hold the strings. Got that?"
Davis mumbled beneath his gag and gave Daniella an apologetic look.
His son walked out with the other two, sending hateful glances at them.
Walking up to Angus, Dani hugged him helplessly, "We are going to be alright."
If only she believed it herself. They could just hope on Andrew.

Gathering around the telephone,  they expected a call from the abductors. Text, sign, attack... Anything.
Andrew felt miserable, maybe a mixture of loneliness and anxiety, "We've been up for three hours."
Alan Skipper added helplessly, "I doubt he is going to call anytime soon."
However, someone still had hope. Janet sighed in weariness, "He will call. He will."
It was only after thirteen minutes that the phone shook in its case.
Andrew dashed to the table and grabbed the line, "Hello."
The caller's evil voice chuckled; Alex, "You sound like you have been waiting for this."
Andrew asked sternly, "Where is Daniella?"
He replied, "Do you mean her location or her emotional bearing. If it's the second, she does not look so happy with you."
Andrew bowed and closed his eyes, giving no answer.
Then, Alex continued, "I suppose you know what to do to make her happy again."
Andrew straightened his stand, "And what exactly is that?"
"I want your life in exchange for hers, " Alex shrugged.
Without hesitation, Andrew replied, "Fine."
Alex went further to stress some points, "Come alone or else, " then a groan of satisfaction escaped his throat before he ended the call.
Laying the phone back in its case, he slipped his hands into his pockets, "Get your guns ready. We are all going."
He had given Alex a positive. But no, he would never want to lose his life to Alex. He was going to suck his own out of him.
