Chapter 7
Every knock on her door seemed to remind her of Alex's bitter treatment to her. She let out gasps as she glanced through the pin-hole this time so she was on a safer part.
Heaving a sigh of relief, she opened the door. Bailey, Ruby and Kendra smiled wide, white smiles at her and chorused, "Good morning."
"You all scared the hell out of me, " Daniella smiled.
Entering into the house,Ruby frowned, "Nice place for someone who just runs a grocery store... Why were you scared?"
Dani let them sit, then sighed again, "You know Alex Davis, that..."
Kendra squeaked, "You mean that beautiful green-eyed creature. Uhhh, that guy gets me randy."
Daniella stared in shock, "He's a sexton."
Bailey huffed, "Makes him sound more sexy."
Ruby threw herself back in boredom, "One is sweet, the other is cold.He is the only one who could actually compete with Andrew Stephen on who gets the most crushes. Too bad his body isn't in good shape at the moment."
The other three studied her.
The host broke the silence, "What do you mean by his body isn't in good shape?"
Ruby laughed, feeling important, "I mean it literally. Alex is like a mummy now."
Bailey almost coughed out her juice, "You mean like bandages and all."
Ruby smirked and tossed a ball of grape into her mouth, "Right now, he's got both leg and hand in slings, bandage round his head and a knife mark on his chest that reads Andrew-was-here. He is in the hospital. Your boyfriend really dealt with the devil."
Daniella frowned, "First of all, he is not my boyfriend. Secondly, why would Andrew do that? I mean, you sure it was him?"
Kendra answered, "You sure you don't know. Does Andrew have a grudge for Alex or is it just you?"
Then she recalled and shook her head. She was just as shocked when this Andrew the "devil" did not kill Alex on the spot when he found him at her house. She could swear she hadn't thought he'd do it later, secretly and so brutally, just because Alex made her cry. Was she to like it or hate it?

"If Andrew Stephen wants a fight, he'll get one, " Alex said to his crew days after his discharge. He looked down at his legs. The jerk who beat him up had left him half dead. And even after his treatment, he'd been given two significant scars, or three; the writing on his chest, his shame and the fact he now needs crutches to walk.
He leaned hard on them, "First Thomas, then Debby. But he crossed the limits when he messed with me."
Paul Noah checked his watch, "I was thinking of maybe a weakness of his, something we could use against him. If he is an addict, he surely wouldn't do without his drugs. If we could snatch them..."
Alex hissed, "Then he will get others you idiot. He's swimming in money. Hemp's a pie for him."
Sighing, he continued, "We'll be helping him if we do that. I want something that will destroy him so bad he would not look me in the eye, so bad he'd be too helpless to fight back, Daniella!"
He could hear chuckles from his friends, chuckles to remind him that his current situation was because of the same girl he wanted to go after again.
"Curses!" He yelled.

Andrew watched heroine being injected at the bridge of his upper and lower arm. Alan pushed the syringe carefully to avoid complications when a sudden noise made him flinch and miss Andrew's vein, giving him a terrible bleed.
Alan turned around and found the police along with Thomas Becker who was still recovering from his attack. He then faced Andrew who was studying the wound on his arm with an unreadable expression, "Fuck Andrew! I'm so sorry. These maniacs startled me." Andrew nodded, got the syringe out and wrapped his arm with a bandanna he was given.
[ ]Alan looked distured because of the wound he'd caused. However, Andrew straightened his wounded arm non-chalantly and looked up at the police, "Thanks for nothing."
[ ]Constable Reynolds stared at Thomas in disbelief, "Why didn't you specify the Andrew you filed a complaint against?"
[ ]Andrew began to see beads of sweat form at Reynolds' forehead. Sometimes, he wondered why the ones he respected feared him... And vice versa. Facing Thomas, Andrew asked, "What is this erroneous complaint about?"
[ ]Detective Carter, new to Texas and therefore its residents, spoke up brightly, "Andrew Stephen, you're under arrest for attempted murder... And probably for the use of illicit drugs."
[ ]Andrew laughed savagely, "You are new here, aren't you?"
[ ]Reynolds stammered at Thomas, "Just forget the whole thing Kiddo, I'm sure it will not happen again, right Andrew?" Andrew raised his chin at Thomas.
Detective Carter wondered why his colleague was acting cowardly towards a mere citizen, "Police men. Arrest him."
The men he spoke to contemplated on who should hook the handcuffs, so serious they began to cast lots.
Andrew laughed, "Let me help."
He walked up to Thomas Becker who had been shivering quietly and laid a hand on his shoulder, "Why don't you tell them what happened? You told the police I did this to you, " he faked pity as he shook his head at Thomas bandages, "what a shame."
Carter went off the edge, "You know what, just leave the handcuffing to me."
He marched towards Andrew with handcuffs in his grip, "You are under arrest you rebel."
Andrew held up his hand and stopped him, "Why don't you ask Thomas who really beat him up."
Andrew stared at Thomas with a gaze so dark blue and intimidating.
The gaze seemed to melt Thomas, "He's not the one. Let's go."
Andrew smiled, "Hey Tom. Remember that saying, the truth always sets you free."
Carter just frowned in confusion.
