Today is the day after Ellis died, Thatcher said last night that he was going to stay at our house for this week and get to know everyone since he has been missing out on a lot. One thing he didn't mention was that he was going to bring his other family along. His WIFE and daughter are staying here.

"Meredith I need toilet paper," Thatcher said from the bathroom.

"Alex here go give it to him," I said handing Alex the toilet paper roll.

I went to the kitchen and started to make lunch since everyone stayed home from school today. I opened the cabinets to find some pasta but we had none, I went to the fridge to see if there were eggs, nope nothing.

"How long has it been since we bought groceries," I asked Izzie since she was going to help cook.

"Um, I think about one week and a half maybe two? I don't know" She said

I need to go shopping but Derek isn't here to watch the kids while I'm gone, Alex and Cristina are old but not enough to take care of themselves. Damn it I need to ask Thatcher's wife, Susan, to take care of the kids.

"Susan"

"Yes Meredith," she said walking into the kitchen.

"Can I trust you to take care of the kids while I'm out getting groceries?"

"Of course Meredith they will be safe with me"

"Thank you"

I walked out of the kitchen and grabbed my phone, keys, wallet, and I slipped my shoes on.

"Okay kids I'm going to buy food please behave for Susan," I said opening the front door

"We will be safe Mer," Alex said

"I will"

I headed off to the store. I grabbed some pasta, eggs, flour, sugar, and basically the only necessities to make food. Well, I might have added some candy and other snacks into the shopping cart...

I got home and yelled for the kids to come help me get the food. I got the pasta and started making the food. Once I finished everyone had already sat down and was ready for their food. Susan and Thatcher were busy making Molly laugh. The kids were on their electronics.

"Kids," I said giving them "the look"

"Right sorry no electronics at the table," Cristina said looking at the other kids

"Yes now go put them in my room and you'll get them after we clean the house a bit, okay?"

"On it," they all said in sync.

I chuckled to myself seeing them run up the stairs. Well except for George, Izzie took his tablet up for him. I put everyone's plate down on the table. We all finished eating and cleaning the house.

"Thank you for helping with cleaning I really appreciate it"

"No problem but instead of using our electronics can you take us to the park?" Izzie said and everyone was nodded frantically

"Go put your shoes on"

"I heard you are going to the park," Susan said being me

"I am why"

"Can you take Molly? Thatch and I haven't had any alone time you know what I mean" She smirked.

"Well I didn't need to know that but yeah I take Molly"

"Thank you Meredith"

"But please keep it in the guest room where you're sleeping in because I really don't want the kids to see any of your... mess"
