I woke up the next morning to Aizawa shifting next to me. I blinked my eyes open to see that I had shifted to face him during the night. He had the cutest morning face, and that is saying a lot. He sighed deeply and sat up, eyes still not fully open. I mirrored his movements, sitting up and leaning against the dark wooden headboard.
I took a moment to breathe in the morning, and the fact that I was sleeping with my professor. It was nice, though, a thought I had grown used to. The morning had not arrived yet. I glanced beyond Shota, still somewhat sleeping, to see that his alarm clock read 6:58 am in bright red LED lighting.
He slowly turned his head towards me, still trying to grasp onto reality. He smiled, and I smiled back, still not speaking. He pulled me in to lean on his chest and I gladly did so.
I could hear his heartbeat next to my ear, my head slowly rising and falling as he breathed. He played with my hair for a few moments, and then brushed his lips over the top of my head. It was over too soon.
"I have to get ready for school, and so do you, love." He whispered and began sitting up but I stopped him with my hand on his chest. He paused, looking down, waiting for me to say something.
I looked up at him, smiling. "Thank you for last night, it was wonderful." He grinned, leaning in to kiss me on the lips.
"It was my pleasure. Now, you should get to your room before anybody sees you coming out of this building. Do not worry, none of the teachers are ever up this early. Promise." And with that, he slid out from under me and walked to his bathroom.
I gathered the books I had borrowed from him and changed into the clothes I had worn the night before. I still decided to take his clothing he had lent me for.... reasons.
"Bye, Shota, see you in class!" I whisper-yelled. He sort of grunted a goodbye, clearly having been brushing his teeth. With that, I hurried out of the building. I looked a mess, my unbrushed hair and un-made up face telling the truth of my endeavor.
Pushing past the doors to the circular lot, I stopped dead in my tracks. I did not think to be cautious of classmates out at this hour, because who would willingly be out right now? Of course it was Midoriya going for a jog in the rotunda before class. I had forgotten about that. Shit.
He saw me, and waved! He jogged over to me as I was attempting to scurry away. Just before I got to the door of the student dorms, he caught up. I was not surprised.
"Hey, Y/N!" He said, way too loudly for my ears at that hour. I tried not to cringe.
"Hi, Midoriya! What's up?" I asked, feigning cheerfulness. I simply did not have the energy for Deku this early. I love the guy, but man he has like a 24/7 full battery.
"I should be asking you that, what are you doing up so early? And in the teacher's dorms?" He seemed genuinely confused. Good. He was booksmart, but man he could be an idiot. Which was perfect to save my ass.
"I... was just... " I looked around for an answer, fidgeting with my skirt. My eyes locked onto the boks in my hand. "Getting books! From Aizawa! He said I could borrow some from his collection, and I wanted to fit that into my schedule before school so I had to wake up SUPER early because I always sleep through my alarms and have to snooze them like eight-" I realized I had been rambling. "Ah, sorry. You get it..."
"Oh, cool! I'm not surprised Aizawa-senpai would let you borrow from his personal library, you've always been his favorite after all!"
Really? Before our... relations, I had not noticed I was his favorite. It was somewhat satisfying to know that other people had noticed he liked me, but annoying to know that I had been oblivious to it for so long.
"Ha! I suppose so, but you're Allmight's favorite so we're even," I smirked at him.
"I-I'm not, what makes you think that?!" He stuttered, suddenly nervous.
"Hey, calm down, Deku, I'm kidding. Anyways, I have to get ready for class, so I'll see you in... about an hour I suppose."
"Yup!" He said, all smiles once again, "I have to finish my workout. Bye, Y/N!"
"Bye!" I shouted back, shutting the door behind me.
I breathed a sigh of relief. He is absolutely clueless, I thought to myself.
And with that, I trudged to my dorm room.
....
Making it back, I unlocked my door. Easing my way through the door, I tried not to let too much light in so as to not wake up Mina.
Too late.
In a flash, she was off of her bed, up in my face. "HEY you were supposed to call so I knew you were safe!" She yelled.
Not even a hello, I thought wearily.
"I stayed up until 1:30 AM worrying my ASS off until I finally got so exhausted of worrying that I fell asleep next to the phone," she took a deep breath, waiting for my apology.
"I'm so sorry, Mina, I should not have left you hanging. I went to sleep late, I'm so sorry. Please forgive me."
As with most arguments, the begging and use of the word "please" won her over. She smiled and drew me in for a long hug.
"I'm glad you're safe," she detached herself from my arms and flung herself back onto her bed. "So?" Putting her face in her hands excitedly, she drew out the word. "How was it? I need the DETAILS."
I filled her in on the dirty details, leaving out nothing. At the end of the story, she was on the edge of her bed, mouth open. Finally she spoke, smirking.
"Well aren't you a naughty little one?!" She said teasing. She glanced over at the clock, her eyes widening. "AH, Y/N, we have 30 minuted to class! Let's get ready!"
We spent the 30 minutes packing up our school supplies, doing hair and makeup, and getting into our outfits.
I wore a plain white button-down shirt, and black jeans with chains on the belt loops. I wore plain combat boots and, of course, my book bag. Simple, refined, and practical was the mood of the day. Thank God it was Friday.
Mina wore a pink cropped top and blue cargo pants. She also wore black Doc Martens so that we would match, and even added cute butterfly clips to her curly pink hair.
We walked to our first period together, gossiping, and got to the classroom with two minutes to spare. We high-fived each other for making it in time, and sat down in our assigned seats. As usual, I sat in the front row with a plain view of the front of the classroom, and Shota of course.
He was already there, as usual. My breath hitched upon seeing him. He wore a plain black turtleneck with a couple of necklaces layered on his neck. His pants were plain black skinny slacks, and his shoes dark lace-up loafers. His dark hair was pulled back in a slick ponytail that ran down half of his back.
He looked so pretty. I remembered then what he had called me that morning. Love. The word hung in my mind as I tried to refrain from staring at his ass the entire class period. After class was over, I waved to him, leaving the room with my friends.
But Deku approached me in the hallway, and I expected the worst.
