**** IMPORTANT: Hi, everybody, I am so sorry for my absence. I had to be offline for a couple of weeks, but I'm back now! FYI, after I conclude this story, I'll be writing some smut and fluff short stories with different characters form different animes, and I will begin including male (anatomically) readers as well! Stay tuned for that, and enjoy the story :)) **
. . . . .
As much as the prude in me wanted people to somehow not notice the collar, as soon as I walked into my dorm that night and collapsed onto my bed, Mina was leaning over me to get a closer look. After seeing what it said, her face broke into a wry smile.
"He claimed you, didn't he?" She said, half-joking. I sighed.
"Apparently," I said, trying to restrain the blush creeping up my neck. She sat back down on her bed and leaned in as if I were a grandmother gathering all of the grandchildren by the fire for a story.
"So..." She drew the word out, " give me the details!" I sat up, fighting to keep a smile off of my face.
"Okay so first, he started with a conversation. I knew he was jealous about the whole Deku thing, which I'll explain later..." The conversation carried late into the night as we erupted into fits of laughter. Mina had also had some interesting events in her love life as well.
"You did what with Ochaco?!?" My jaw dropped as she told me the story of how she had ended up in the closet with Uraraka, ironically the same closet I had been in with Shota. She laughed.
"I had no idea she was into girls, but then..." she chuckled, "yeah she's definitely into girls."
"So??" I asked expectantly. "Will you two get together?" Mina beamed.
"I think she wants to try it out. She's never been with a girl before but I would be happy to be her first. I mean you could definitely tell she was liking whatever I did with those noises she was makin-"
I cut her off with a cackle, chucking a pillow at her. Just like a cheesy sitcom, that began a full-fledged pillow fight that lasted late into the night. It got to the point where Bakugou nearly busted the door down by knocking and yelling for us to go to sleep. Bakugou and his beauty sleep.
The next morning , I got more glances than I had hoped at the collar around my neck. Once, during lunch, Deku tried to ask me about it, but I stopped him before he could.
"Hey, y/n, everybody's been wondering, what does that word around-"
"Don't. Even." I interrupted, putting my palm in between us. That ended the conversation. After I finished eating, I walked to the bathroom to freshen up. As I was messing with my hair in the mirror, the bathroom door swung open to my right. I didn't spare a glance to figure out who it was. Before I had time to think, I saw Shota approaching me in the mirror.
I whipped around, meeting him face-to face, and didn't get to speak before he had me up against the sink, kissing me hard on the lips. When he separated, he said "Well hello, love." I smiled sweetly.
"Hello, Shota. How has your day been?"
While he had opened up to me a lot in the recent months he was still Aizawa. He said "good." and left it at that, leaving me to fill in the blank space with details about my day so far. He seemed keen to listen, though, and his encouraging silence led me to talk even more than regularly.
Once I was done, he silently embraced me, hugging my face tight to his chest. My nose filled with his scent: muskyness covered by woodsy cologne. I breathed deeply into him, and felt him relax more. This was all I wanted in life, comfortable silence. It was my favorite thing.
When he finally pulled away, he kissed me on the forehead and mumbled into my hair "thank you for talking to me, you have no idea how much I needed that." I smiled, and whispered, "of course, love."
As he headed out, he said, "meet me in my dorm at 7:00, let's go somewhere!" And with that, he was gone. What a strange meeting in the girls' bathroom, but I loved the guy.
