My eyes fluttered open at the sensation of the warm rays of early morning filtering through Aizawa's thin curtains, Breathing deeply, I sat up, stretching out the kinks in my neck and back. After a quick glance, I found that Shouta was still asleep in bed next to me. It was Saturday, neither of us had obligations, and we were permitted to sleep as long as we wanted.
I relaxed myself against the headboard of his simple frame, and let my mind wander aimlessly. I reflected on my relationship with him thus far, finding it surprising that we had not been discovered by anybody other than Mina. That led me to wonder when we would be able to come out about our relationship publicly. Graduation was two weeks away. Would Aizawa be open to coming out about it then, or would he want to wait? I filed that thought away to ask him about it later.
As I was about to lay back down, his eyes began to open slowly. As he began to resin consciousness, a small smile crept across his lips. He slowly reached out his arms and secured me around the waist, snuggling his face into my side.
"Good morning, lovely," he said huskily. I almost melted. I reached down and ran my fingers through his wild hair.
"Good morning, Shouta."
... 2 weeks Later...
I smiled with tears in my eyes as I hugged Mina, the fabric of the graduation gown coarse under my hands. She was going off to a different hero agency than me, but I had assured her that we would be seeing eachother often. She grinned back and gave me a friendly kiss on both cheeks before finding her way over to Ochaco, where they immediately intertwined fingers and kissed.
Yep, I thought, she is definitely into girls.
I craned my neck to find my lover over the sea of bittersweet goodbyes. I didn't see him anywhere, so I turned towards the school to search that direction. He seemed to have disappeared right after the ceremony.
As I was turning, my eyes caught on a long, black braid. It was him, turned away from me, engaged in conversation with...
My parents.
Nervous, I ran over to where they were standing. They all seemed to be getting along well, all having small smiles on their faces as they spoke. That lifted a fraction of nervousness off of my chest. Quickly, I integrated myself into the conversation.
"... She was a wonderful student, truly outstanding," he was saying, "and I hope to have further relations with her in the future as our agencies work together." My parents seemed satisfied with him in general and then moved on to fussing over me. As they both smothered me in hugs, I made eye contact with Shouta, exchanging a quick grin. Before he disappeared into the crowd again, he mouthed meet me after, in my dorm.
I wasn;t good at reading lips, but I think that was what he said.
Seeing as I could drive myself, my parents didn't mind it when I requested to stay a bit longer, making up an excuse about the fact that I had not packed my car yet with the items from my dorm. I rushed to the teachers' dorms, shedding my robe as I went. I left it in the dropoff bin and then made my way to Shouta's room.
I didn't feel the need to knock anymore, and I bursted in to find him passed out in his sleeping bag on his bed. On his bed in the sleeping bag.
I laughed quietly, and began to unzip the stupid yellow thing. I slid my body in next to him, waking him up in the process. It was a tight fit, but I snuggled up to his chest, letting the dull thudding of his heartbeat lull me into a comfortable silence.
He broke it first, saying "Happy graduation day," for the first time that day, other than the time he addressed the whole graduating class.
"Thank you, love," I replied, "but what does this mean for us? We don't live a hundred feet from one another anymore. Things will be harder-" He pressed a slender finger to my lips to silence my worries, and began tracing the outline with his fingernail.
'Relax, y/n, we'll figure it out. Right now, enjoy your accomplishment. You earned it." He breathed deeply as he encircled me with his arms, enclosing me in a tight embrace. Yeah, this was a good end to the graduation day. Before I fell asleep, I texted my parents:
Staying the night one last time in my dorm. See you guys tomorrow, XOXO.
And then I let myself succumb to his warmth.
Hey everyone, I really hoped you enjoyed reading this series, because I definitely enjoyed writing it. As you can likely tell, I abandoned the Deku story, but I am enthusiastic to begin a new wlw Mina story! Again, I hope you'll support me in reading that one as well, and remember to vote and comment on that one and this one as well!
