Pokemon: The Queen of Kalos

Couriway Showcase!

(Week early upload! School just ended so I finally have more free time! I can't guarantee we can have weekly uploads again but I'll definitely try to have more frequent chapters out. I hope you're as hyped as me!)

Apologies in advance that the actual showcase is going to be short... I can't bring myself to go into too much detail for this. At least it remedies an earlier problem I made by introducing the Sawyer sisters. And you get to hear from a certain key character in the lore for the first time in a while!

Our heroes arrived in Couriway Town, and Serena's Eevee was afraid to perform in the Showcase. Palermo was even showing up! Zenith went off to practice her routine for her tour performance, while her sisters went off to practice for Master Class. (Except Shadow, she was just training her team in the woods nearby.)

Meanwhile, Eevee was thinking of all the eyes that would be on it while performing and was hesitating, but its twin reassured it that everything would be fine and it would do great. Serena, Braixen, and Pancham began practicing again while Bonnie cheered Eevee on, the twin even joining in to make things less stressful.

By the next day when it was time to perform, Zenith took to the stage and greeted everyone.

"Hello Couriway Town! I am the one and only Zenith Sawyer, your Kalos Queen, so get ready for an opening performance to get your blood pumping and your spirits high!" She sent out Noivern and let Star jump off her shoulder. "Now, Draco Meteor!" A bunch of purple meteors appeared and fell down towards the stage. "Swift!" Stars crashed into them, bathing the stage in purple mist and silver glitter that made it seem like it was in space. "Noivern, Heat Wave! Star, Double Team!"

The glitter spun around and began to glow as the Dragon-Type used the attack. Then the shiny Eevee made copies of itself, who all began to dance around Zenith and Noivern.

"Hurricane!"

A huge gust of wind from Noivern's wings swept all the copies away and all the spacey glitter to one point at the center of the stage.

"Now, Water Pulse and Iron Tail!" Noivern launched a blast of water at the bundle just as Star slashed it with her tail, causing a beautiful explosion of mist and glitter that fell all around the audience. When it cleared, It revealed Star standing on Zenith's shoulder, both of them on Noivern's back, hands/paws up. "And... done!"

There was a roar of applause and Zenith and her Pokemon bowed. Zenith held the microphone up to speak.

"I hope you enjoyed, so now, show our performers some love! Good luck, everybody!" She exited as Monsieur Pierre took front and center to begin announcing the performers for the day. Quickly changing back into her casual clothes and making her way to the seats where Ash, Bonnie, and the others were, they watched as the performers had to bake while putting on a dance show.

Nini, Jessilee, and Serena were the competitors she really kept an eye on, and like she expected, they all made it to the Freestyle Round. However, there would be a break between then and now, so Ash suggested they all have a picnic, and Serena was already claiming she had the show in the bag (and reluctantly congratulated for making it to the second round).

The other Sawyer sisters met back up with them as they had their picnic. As Clemont consoled Serena's Eevee, who wasn't eating out of nervousness, by chopping up berries to make the food tastier, they quietly excused themselves.

Zenith put on a sweatshirt from her bag and pulled her hood up as she and her sisters entered a Pokemon Center, requesting to make a private phonecall. Nurse Joy was happy to oblige, showing them to a room down the hall where they could make one with full privacy.
