Chapter 6: Monte's Betrayal
MONTE'S POV
I was different.
I felt different and I liked it.
"You did good," Aya smiled at me as we watched the place burn, "and soon we'll have no more enemies." She touched my arm and dragged her hand down until our hands were linked, "and we'll be unstoppable." "Good," I smiled as I turned to her.
"I'll see you tonight?" she questioned. "You will," I smiled as she left.
I was alone.
"Looks like someone is kissing ass," Malachai appeared, "and he does it better than you, Michael." "Fuck off," Michael eyed me and then pushed his brother. "Oh?" Malachai walked around us, "someone has a crush?" "Kiss ass," Michael blushed but tried to ignore his brother as I ignored them both.
"We don't have time for this," I tried to walk away, but Malachai stopped me, placing his hand on my chest. "No need to rush, I think we deserve to celebrate. You have two siblings vying for your attention, Monte. Is your dick that big?" "Stop it," Michael yelled.
"For a man, your masculinity is fragile as fuck," Michael continued, "are you mad that I gave you no time of the day." "Now you've gone too far."
"Brothers!" Markus appeared, stopping them from fighting, "why are you two always fighting. Aya would have your heads."
"Ah another brother up her ass, where is Marcel? The only true man here." "He's away at the moment," Markus grabbed his brother's shirt, "don't make me whip your ass in front of guests. I'm the reckless one remember?"
With that threat he let them go and ran off as I took that moment to leave.
"I'll get you one day, fag," Malachai mumbled disappearing as well as Michael ignored him.
"Where are you going?" he grabbed my arm and I groaned. "I'm hungry," I looked at him and he nodded. "Don't go too far, we have a few more teams, remember?" "I do. I'm the one giving information, remember?" I looked at him and he chuckled, before grabbing my neck.
"I may let them talk to me like that, but I'll never let you. Understand?"
"I don't think Aya would appreciate you doing that, Michael," I chuckled and blew a kiss, "I don't like it rough." "Fuck off," he pushed me away and left as I was finally free to roam.
I didn't like using my speed when I hunted for my new prey. I liked to view them with my eyes, slowly and hearing their conversations. It allowed me to receive more information that I would log into my mind. I killed thirteen people so far and I knew their names; maybe it was because I did it while human killing infected. Some things changed and I guess others stayed the same.
A small dog ran to me and growled as I lowered myself, flashing my eyes and forcing the dog to remain still as I linked with it.
"My," I started, "my; who do we belong to?" "I am so sorry," a woman appeared and I stood, smiling at her; my eyes returning to my normal ones as I stared at my next meal. "Sorry, I swear I thought she was going to stay put," she chuckled, brushing her hair behind her ears; the wind forcing it back in her face.
I surprised her as I raised my hand and brushed it back, holding it there. I felt her heart race and I grew excited.
"It's alright. I like dogs," I flashed her a smile and she blushed. "Monte," I stuck my hand out and she smiled, brightly. She was really pretty, I eyed her and she blushed under my intense gaze.
"Hi," she looked at me again, "I'm Lindsey. Nice to meet you." "The pleasure is all mine," I stared deeply into her eyes, "hey...are you hungry?"
"Yes. I am hungry," she was completely under my spell. "Come," I beckoned her closer and I looked around, making sure no one else was around as I ran off with her; leaving that horrible dog.
We were suddenly in an ally and she looked confused. "How did you do that? What are you?" she asked, but I ignored her, my ears only picking up the quickened heart rate.
"Shh, please quiet," I placed my finger over her mouth, but she swatted it away. "What the fuck are you doing?" she asked as I placed my head on her chest, holding her arms tightly. "You're hurting me," she begged for me to let her go, but I heard her sweet heart.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
It was beautiful music and I felt my fangs as they scraped my lip.
"It's going to be ok," I looked at her face and I saw her fear. "It's going to be over soon," I flashed her a calming smile, "I promise."
I turned her neck and bit into it, clamping my hand over her mouth as she screamed into my palm. She was so sweet as I bit into her harder.
I felt her sweet and tender flesh break down under my hard bite as I snuggled closer into her, my other hand squeezing her neck so tightly; as I enjoyed my quick bite. Her screams were growing weaker as I continued to devour her. I backed away to take a deep breath, looking into her dilated eyes; she was barely hanging on now. I removed my hand from her mouth, my hand had her smeared make up as I focused now on finishing up. I grabbed her neck with my left hand and her shoulders in place with my other; keeping her drooping body in place as I bit in her other side.
I chomped away until I felt my phone begin to buzz. I tried to ignore it, but knowing it was Aya I had to finish my meal and I let her fall to my feet, wiping my mouth with my sleeve and answering my phone.
"Get here," she started, "NOW!"
Aw shit. What now?
