"With your face all made up, living on a screen.
Low on self-esteem, so you run on gasoline."
— Gasoline, Halsey

NADIA AND ALINA WERE EXHAUSTED and the girls happen to catch a ride with the same two contrasting personality Heartrenders in a small carriage. The Sun Summoner was given a red kefta with grey embroidery on them, Alina had been given Sonia's, who had smiled at her with grace while Nadia still wore the black cloak the Darkling had given her. The two men who wore their red keftas sat across from the girls and they saw the man sitting beside Ivan nudge him and nodded towards the girls, a small smile spread on his lips.

Ivan sighed before introducing the Sun Summoner to the man beside him, "This is Fedyor."

"Pleasure to meet you." Fedyor smiled brightly at the Starkov girl, the same smile he gave to Nadia when they first met.

Nadia started to like the Heartrender more than his other half, who was always brooding in his spot.

He nodded towards the kefta Alina wore, "They call this a kefta. It's bulletproof. The uniform of the Second Army."

Nadia watched Alina fiddle with the sleeves of the clothing she wore, her eyes slowly trailed towards Alina's thumb that caressed a scar on her left palm. In the corner of her eye, she saw Fedyor's eyes widened for a fraction of a second when his eyes landed on the cloak Nadia wore. Curiosity struck within the Lisitsa girl and she looked over to see the Heartrender smile once more and nodded to the black cape.

"The cloak you wear is specially made for the General. It's bulletproof too." He smiled and Nadia couldn't help but be curious as to why the General had given her his cloak instead of another kefta from a Grisha soldier. Alina decided to butt in the conversation and looked towards her other two travelling companions.

"What about the First Army? Back in Kribirsk. A thousand soldiers marching with us. Isn't that safer?" Alina argued to them and all three looked over to the Sun Summoner who wore an expression that Nadia knew all too well. Irritation and anger.

"Slower, not safer. Not really." Ivan looked over to the girls with dull eyes before looking outside the carriage through the window.

"If you left me with the cartography unit, no one would look twice at us." Alina told them and Nadia was conflicted at her response.

Nothing would go back to normal if they ever found out you were a Grisha with special abilities that none had, a Grisha who could expel the Fold. She learned that firsthand when Nina had caught her and she was in the same carriage that she previously occupied with the Darkling.

"Why is that?" Fedyor asked in curiosity. The two girls in front of him held special powers that no one had. "You summon pure sunlight and the girl beside you summon thunderstorms and electricity."
