Moon stood there for a moment wondering what to do before she walked up and said quietly, " The stars are so beautiful tonight." Qibli looked down at her and smiled, that sweet, kind smile that she loved so much. "As are you.", he said, tucking on wing around her. She leaned into him, enjoying the warmth of his desert scales.
Moon wished she could pause that moment right there, stuff it into a jar and keep it forever. Something clicked inside her, this was no longer a stragatic game she was playing, this was about how she wanted to spend the rest of her life. Right then she knew, no matter what happened, this was the dragon she wanted to spend her life with.
Pressing her self harder against him, she whispered, "I love you, Qibli."
"I love you too, Moonwatcher."
