MoonBli - Through It All

Chapter 4 - Getting started

Once the Queens of their kingdoms knew of their engagement, they gave the couple a house on the edge of the desert and a good amount  of money and treasure. There was a main bedroom, a kitchen/eating room, a guest bedroom, a nursery, a playroom, 2 extra bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms.  It was huge and much bigger than the house they grew up in. 

Qibli already had a job as a security guard at Thorn's palace but Moon needed a job. She knew that when they had dragonets she would probably have to stop working, but she wanted to help. Qibli wouldn't let her work at the Scorpion Den, "To dangerous!" he said. Eventually she found an opening as the art teacher at a small inter-tribe called The School for the Hopeful. Qibli approved that this was a safe job. She could come home in the evenings and was off on the weekends.

Moon's new job didn't pay too much, but it was enough. On her first day she met a few dragonets who seemed interested in art and enjoyed it. She met one dragonet, a 4 year old Seawing named Starfish, who seemed rather talented. Most of the others didn't really seem to care. She tried to be strict but it didn't work, "Just make it to the end of the week and get your first pay." she kept telling herself.

Finally Moon got her paycheck and stopped at a store in the town where the school was. There she got seeds for a garden and some pre-salted meat. she went home and started cooking dinner. It would be few more hours before Qibli got home. They had planned their wedding but it would be a few more weeks. They had moved into their new house and were quite enjoying it.

She dropped carrots, celery, and onions into a big pot with some water. Then, she took a big pan, after rolling around pieces of meat in some breadcrumbs, placed them in the pan. She fried them until they were cooked all the way and then put them on a platter. She took out two bowls and filled them with i thin soup. She then put the extra meat in their small storage closet with the leftover soup.

"I'm home!" Qibli called. Moon rushed over to say hello and kissed his cheek. "I just finished making dinner! It's still warm!" she said, "Mmm.Smells delicious!" They walked over ti the small table and ate their dinner. After that they kept unpacking and talked about work. It got late fast so they went to bed quickly. Both of them slept well that night.
