Thirty Four

(Time skips to last two weeks of college)

[In the field]

Unns- (shouts) girls we're having a beach day out tomorrow with the football team boys.

Aash- What it is for?

Unns- A break for the boys and girls from their practice.

Ashi- finally break!

Aash- Much needed.

Mnv- We're going out tomorrow.

Tk- Finally we have a rest day!

Sanku- Much needed.

[The next day Everyone arrives at the beach. The beach wasn't much crowded]

Aash's pov- Almost a month passed. I haven't had a word with Sanku. Everytime I look at him I feel to just go and hug him. I looked at Sanku. He was with tk surrounded by some girls over there. I don't know why I can't see him with anybody else. I saw him smile or rather the smile he faked. I could read him. Ah! don't think about Sanku let him be. I went towards Unns who was standing in a corner with Ashi.

Aash- What happened to you two? Why are all standing like that?

Unns- (raises her hand and is about to speak when she drops her phone in the water) My phone.

Aash- I'll get it. Don't worry

Aash holds her breaths and goes into the water. She finds the phone in the gap between two stones. She takes the phone and is about to make her way out when her feet gets struck in that gap. She tries to get herself out but of no use. Her feet starts to bleed and now she is out of breath.

Ashi- Don't you think Aash is taking a lot of time?

(Tamasa comes)

Mnv- What's up? where's Aash?

Unns- I dropped my phone down in water and she just stepped in to bring that back but she isn't yet out.

Sanku- What? How can she even hold her breath this long?

Ashi- (to herself) How do I tell them she is trained for it.

Unns- (points towards water) there's a red colour in the water. Is it Aash's blood?

Sanku without having a second thought jumps into the water.

Mnv goes behind Sanku.

Unns is worried.

Ashi becomes tensed and tears are filled in her eyes.

Tk sees her and moves towards her.

Ashi looks up at tk and goes and hugs him.

Tk also hugs her back.

Ashi- Aash (and sobs)

Tk- Ashi nothing will happen to Aash. We're all here.

Ashi- That blood?

Tk- It can be something else. Stop crying now.

(Tk wipes Ashi's tears and gives her a forehead kiss. Ashi holds Tk's hand with a firm grip. Tk tightens his grip on her reassuring her that he is always there)

Unns- All this is happening because of me.

Ashi- No Unns. Aash is good at swimming. She had done a lot of underwater missions.

Tk- Missions?

Ashi- I mean underwater sports.

Unns- But now?

Tk- Don't worry. Sanku and Mnv are there. Aash will be safe.

Tk, Unns and Ashi had there eyes fixed towards the water. They see someone making there way out of the water.

Ashi's pov:

I saw Sanku carrying Aash in his arms. She had her eyes closed. Her feet all coated with blood. She was unconscious and I couldn't figure out that how my Aash couldn't make a way out.

I had seen her strong and fight every little problem. But it hit me that this time we both were emotionally weak. You can be strong enough to fight the enemy but once emotions are involved you become fragile inside and anything can break you.

Sanku laid Aash down on the ground. He was rubbing her hands but she wasn't responding.

I went down on knees and couldn't control my tears.

Sanku shouts 'Get some first aid'
(pov ends)

Sanku's pov:

Aash was in danger. How could I hold myself. I jumped into the water and saw her feet struck between the stones making it impossible for her to move.

She couldn't breathe it was clearly visible. But she was in senses and I was amazed by how strong she was.

Me and mnv moved the stones and I took Aash in my arms. By the time we took her out she fell unconscious. I could feel my heart race fast.

The fear of her not getting up all making me upset and annoyed at the same time.

Aash's pov:

I opened my eyes slowly and looked around. Sanku is rubbing my hand with his eyes all filled with tears.

Ashi is down on her knees so worried and upset.

I tried to remember what happened. I struggled hard to get my feet out but I don't know my mind wasn't strong enough to be focused. I was emotionally weak that time and I left all hopes of surving.

I saw Sanku then and rest is now.

I whispered softly 'Sanku' He heard that and took not even second to move my head on his lap while his hands rest on my face.

Sanku- Honey are you okay? What happened? Are you able to breathe?Doctor? Is you feet paining?

Ashi- Why are you so irresponsible? Why can't you take care of yourself?

Unns- I know it was my mistake? I'm the foolish one. Why did you jump into the water.

Aash- (makes herself sit) Oh my god. Will you stop questioning like that? I'm perfectly fine. And this wound is a little one.
