"I just want this bastard out of you." Eren whined.
"I know, we will." Evie replied.
"He'll come back, I don't know when."
"He's weak and I'm suppressing his power, we should rest tonight and get going again tomorrow."
"Are you sure?" Maria asked.
"Yes auntie M, we need to rest now." Evie wiped the blood from her eyes.
"Let's get everyone tidied up and rested then talk about it later." Ashleigh added.
"If you're sure." A worried Issa said.
"Let's go." Tac took the lead back to the club.
Maria was checking Evie's eye.
"I'm okay, stop worrying, we're all fucked, it's been a shit day. I saw you die, another you and I want her back too, the other Ashleigh as well. I can't keep losing everyone, we're going to get rid of Yusha but today I barely want to do anything but go to sleep." Evie told her.
"Seeing myself get killed was tragic and chilling. How did you feel Ash?" Maria asked.
"Like Evie, lying down, I'll catch everyone later."
"You get your butts to Annwvn tomorrow and get this crap sorted, I'm not even kidding." Issa put his hands on his hips. "Seriously, this isn't funny."
"Eren you should go, bring that guy here to exorcise me, I can't do it, I just want to rest. It's taken too much out of me."
"Sure thing cous, I'll go and get Gryphon tomorrow morning."
"Do what you need to do guys, I have to take care of some business, come on Tac. Ring immediately if you need me." Maria hugged her nieces and Issa then left the three alone as she and Tac got back to their never ending duties for The Kodiaks.
Issa sighed. "I've taken care of our place and my art has been bringing in some money, obviously we're not far from Maria so let's go back. I guess that's the short term plan until we figure out what to do next. Oh there's a lodger already, you'll like her, name's Naia."
"She paying rent?" Eren asked.
"Of course."
"That's okay then."
"She cook?" Evie asked.
"She makes better meals than my fried egg and chocolate." Issa chuckled.
"It's not too bad a meal Issa just needs a few tweaks." Evie replied.
"Like what?"
"When making it don't add chocolate, or eggs, or anything."
"Thanks for the inspirational chat."
Evie gave a huge grin with a double thumbs up. "Anytime mate."
Eren got up. "Time to go home."
As they entered the front door, a smell of spices and cheese hit their nostrils.
"Hey!" A voice called from the kitchen.
"Naia, Eren and Evie are back!"
Naia poked her head around the corner. "Hi, food for four? I'll be in to meet you guys soon, don't want to burn anything."
Around ten minutes later everyone sat in front of the television eating.
"What's your story?" Evie asked Naia.
"Nothing special really, I've got a girlfriend called Rhedyn I met at the University..."
"Let me show you something." Issa pulled out his cellphone and flipped to pictures of Naia with Polly.
"Erm what is this? That's me! But, what the fuck!?" She almost choked on her food.
"Where did you get them?" Eren asked.
"Maria sent them to me, this other Naia was with Polly, Dawed's daughter."
"This is creeping me out, you know what maybe I should go, this isn't very funny." Naia got up.
"No, sit down, we need to show you some things, like mutant weird freaky stuff." Eren made her eyes glow blue and an icicle formed on her forefinger. "There's more, this world is strange and you're a part of our weird story Naia."
Naia continued to look at pictures of another version of herself in awe.
"Come with me, we'll be ten minutes. Evie babysit Issa." Eren took Naia's arm and led her to the Gateway.
Eren kicked it, it glowed faintly and briefly showed Annwvn before returning to normal.
"This is a portal to other worlds Naia, where there's thousands of different versions of ourselves. Tomorrow I'm going to find someone to help Evie, it's a lot to take in but yeah we'll tell you everything."
The Gateway glowed again showing a point in time where Polly and Naia were arguing to a point where Naia was found by a woman called Jana onto a point where the world was under attack by strange creatures, foliage like. The visions faded again, Eren looked at Naia who was scratching her head.
"What did I just see? I mean damn Issa told me some weird stuff was happening but wow."
"Naia, you're involved whether you want to be or not. Just be patient, let us take care of things and please, if you can, stick with us. I know we've only just met but..."
"Okay Eren, tell me everything, and I mean everything I'll do what I can, but if you leave anything out I'm bailing."
Eren put her palms together. "No, I swear, we'll tell you everything, time to get back. Tomorrow I'm leaving for Annwvn, look out for Evie and Issa, it won't stop you doing anything you want, just check in on them a couple of times a day."
"How long will you be gone?"
"Hopefully not too long but just in case."
