I hummed softly as I finished wiping the water from the now clean dishes. "(M/n), sweetheart?" I put the plate I was holding down and wiped my hands on my pants before I walked out of the kitchen and into the living room. "Yes, mother?" She gave me a small smile before she spoke up, "I know it's late honey but I have a couple of people coming over tomorrow and I forgot to get a couple of ingredients. Would you do me a favor and take this list and go buy them for me?" I smiled a bit and grabbed the piece of paper and the money, "Of course, mom. I'll see you soon. If I take a bit of time make sure you head to bed and don't worry about me, okay?" She nodded her head and thanked me once again. I grabbed the house key as well as slipped on a pair of comfortable shoes. As I made my way to the store I waved at anyone who waved at me first. I hummed a random tune as I looked up and saw the moon shining down at me.

Once I arrived at the grocery store I bought everything my mother listed before walking out. As I walked out I couldn't help but get a bit nervous at the now empty streets. They were a few people walking around earlier but now it seems like a ghost town. Taking in a shaky breath I began my walk back home and about halfway I heard a bunch of thuds. I looked around very carefully and nervously. And only relaxed a bit when I realized that it was another person but it seemed as they had dropped their groceries. I walked up to them only to see a very pale but handsome man trying to pick up his groceries. I squat down next to him and begin to help him. He looks at me for a second before continuing to do his thing. Once we were done I grabbed one of his bags and gave him a small smile, "I'll help you bring these home, sir. I wouldn't want you to drop them again and have to deal with dirty food." He stared at me and something flashed through his eyes but as fast as it came it left.

He nodded his head and began walking in the direction of what I'm guessing is his house. It was so quiet that I couldn't help but start to hum a random song. Suddenly, the guy turned around and frantically grabbed my shoulders, "Where did you hear that melody?" I paused for a second to think before I spoke up, "I'm pretty sure I used to have this friend during my childhood who would only come to see me at night because they knew I could sleep. And they would end up humming to me as they played with my hair so that I could fall asleep." His eyes seemed to widened before he cupped my cheeks, "(N/n), is that really you?" I stared at him with wide eyes when he called me that nickname. There is only one person in the world who would call me that and it was the boy I promised to marry in the future because they were my best friend and the love of my life.

"Sho?" I asked softly. He nodded his head and pulled me into a tight hug. "I missed you so fucking much. You have no idea how many times I wanted to go see you." I looked up at him, "Why didn't you though? I'm home day and night taking care of the house so why didn't you come?" He looks away from me before nodding his head as if decided to go through with whatever was running through his mind and speaking up, "(N/n) I'm sure you have a lot of questions but the only reason I could give you is that I'm a vampire. And I can't really leave my house in the daytime and whenever I tried seeing you in the past either you were asleep or you and your mother were around each other. And I couldn't risk more people knowing about me." I stared at him before I spoke up, "Then I'll come to see you from now on. And before you ask no I don't care that you're a vampire. You're still the guy I um." He grabbed my chin making me look up at him, "Thank you for that but finish that sentence for me, darling." I blushed bright red but did as told, "You're still the guy I fell in love with and promise to marry all those years ago." He smiled softly and pressed a kiss into the corner of my lips making me turn bright red and bury my face into his chest. He chuckled softly, "You're the person I fell in love with too and I can't wait to start something new with you."

And that's the story of how Shoto and I found each other again and became life lovers.
