I had been exploring Dragon King's forest when I heard a giant crash and saw a bunch of small animals running off in different directions. I both knew and was taught that if small creatures were running away from something or someone you should do the same but curiosity and the feeling that I should check it out was overwhelming. So I mustered up all the courage I had in me and made my way over to where the crash came from. At first, I noticed that there was a giant hole in the shape of something. But when the dust and soil started clearing up I looked down to see a man but it wasn't just any kind of man in fact they had red scales, a red tail, red wings, and large red horns. That's when I realized that the shape of the hole was that of a dragon. Cautiously I began my scale down towards the creature. 

As I got closer I noticed that they were passed out as well as bleeding around their stomach area. I took out some bandages from the satchel I always brought with me when I explored. I carefully and messily wrapped him just to stop the bleeding. I could tell that the sky was going to get dark soon and since I knew this forest like the back of my hand as well as knew the animals I requested their help to carry the dragon. They were wary at first but I told them they had nothing to worry about considering that he was knocked out cold. They agreed to help me and we brought him to a cave where I started a small fire and properly bandaged him up. It was about 45 minutes after I had taken care of him that he began to stir. I looked over at him and when we made eye contact he immediately back away before groaning and grabbing at his stomach.

Worried that he might have reopened the wound I get up from my spot and walk over to him. "Hey, I'm not going to hurt you I promise. All I want to do is make sure that you're okay." He gave me a wary look but hesitantly allowed me to check his wound out. I let out a small breath of relief when I realized that it didn't open up. I looked up at his face and we both froze when we made eye contact. I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks so I stood up and walked back over to the small and dimmed fire. "Um, your wound seems to be okay. It's currently storming outside so I doubt you'd wanna fly in that. So I prepared a small um nest over there if you want." I said as I pointed over to the nest that had blankets that I always brought with me and a small pillow. I could feel his stare on me but I choose not to look at him because I still had no idea what happened before.

It was quiet for a while the only thing you could hear was the crackling of the fire and the rain hitting the cave outside walls and the trees/leaves. I could feel myself drifting to sleep so ultimately I laid down near the fire. I had always been someone who was cold no matter how much heat was around me. It actually worried my mother to the point that she took me to every doctor and magician out there but no luck. I couldn't fall asleep at some point I was thought I could just pull an all-nighter. While I was deeply into my thoughts I didn't notice nor feel the looks the dragon was giving me. I was shivering and laying too close to the fire for his comfort. As I was about to get up I was both stopped in my tracks and pulled out of my head when arms wrapped around my waist and warmness spread all over my body.

"What are you doing?" I asked softly keeping my eyes closed. I could feel his warm breath on the back of my neck. "Don't want mate to be cold. Is this not okay?" He asked about to let go of me but I grabbed onto his arm, "It's okay." He immediately wrapped his arms around me tighter and pulled me closer to his chest. I sighed contently before realization struck down on me, "I'm your mate?" He pressed a small kiss onto my shoulder blade, "Yes. My name is Kirishima. And I'm the dragon king." I paused for a second, "Wait, are you trying to tell me that not only am I mated to a dragon but the dragon king himself." I could feel him nod which led me to let out a soft 'Oh'. "I'll take great care of you now. If you accept me." He said softly. I sighed before turning to look at him and placing my hand on his cheek, "This is a lot to take in at once. How about we start out slowly. You already told me your name but I have told you mine. I'm (M/n)." He nodded and grabbed my hand before placing a small kiss on my wrist, "I'll do everything in my power to show you I'm serious about you being my mate."

And true to his word he was. He took care of me, visited me whenever he could, brought me gifts that were hand made by him, and ultimately made me fall for him. After I accepted being his mate he was overjoyed and told his entire kingdom and they accepted me with open arms while saying that my kindness, generosity, and passion would make me an amazing partner to their king.

And we lived happily ever after. After telling Eijiro that we could only have 3 kids. Much to his dismay because he wanted to have a dragon football team of our kids.
