'Bondita, Bondita Where are you?, Since morning, you are busy with work. Yesterday also you went to the market to shop, that too alone'. Said Anirudh in a disappointing tone.
'Ohho, Pati babu, I was just working, Tell me, What is it? You are shouting as if the whole world is going to collapse, Now tell, what is it?', Said Bondita in an irritated tone.
Even though, She loves being called by him, But she was busy, doing some important work.
Umm, Bondita, Actually.... Umm, Anirudh stammered.
See, You don't want anything and you are simply shouting on top of your lungs. said Bondita, who was now more irritated than before.
Anirudh held her and said looking into her eyes,- ' You don't know, But when I don't see you for a long time, I don't feel good. That's why I want you to be in front of my eyes always.
"Ohh, Patibabu, I am in the haveli itself and I am not going out anywhere. So don't worry, and atleast today let me do my work. And promise me that today you won't come in peeping in the kitchen.", Bondita said.
But,
Please, please, please,- Bondita pleaded like a child.
Ok fine, but only for today, after that I won't leave you.
Thank you- Bondita said and went away leaving Anirudh confused.
The whole day Bondita was busy in her preparations.
Anirudh from many days was really busy in his recent case. He had many sleepless nights and also wasn't getting time to spend with Bondita. So, Bondita decided to surprise him.
Anirudh was in his study, trying to concentrate on the case, but his whole mind was rotating around his wifey. Sometimes he would peep in the hall when she used to come to take some things but again used to disappear.
Bondita was decorating the terrace with lights and flowers. She made dishes that were favourite to Anirudh. She also made, his favourite desert ' The Kheer'. The whole terrace was looking so beautiful.
Soon, it was night time. She looked like a beauty queen in heavy blue Sari embroidered with golden linings, kohl on her eyes and painted lips. She also wore the anklets that were given to her by Anirudh when she graduated from the University. She made her hair in a bun which had a very nice smell of lavender.
Anirudh was in his study moving to and fro with books in his hand. Bondita silently descended down the stairs towards the study that was connected to her room. So quick in her moves, she blindfolded Anirudh. He was about to scream but then realised that it was Bondita.
'Bondita, What are you doing?', asked Anirudh who was desparate to know what she was doing.
'Shh, Just follow me.' said Bondita excitedly.
Anirudh followed her without any further questions. She took him to the terrace carefully and told him to open his eyes. He slowly removed the piece of cloth that was covering his eyes, and was amazed after seeing the scenario in front of him.
He looked at Bondita, who was admiring his expressions.
'Bondita, You did all these for me!'
' No, I did for Ramesh kaka who lives nearby.'
'What?'
'Of Course, Patibabu I did it for you, I have noticed that since many days you are not sleeping well, eating well and the most important, not spending time with me. Sometimes I feel that those files and books are your wives.'
'Ohh, So my love, is carving for me?' He went near Bondita and almost whispered.
'Ohh leave that, See I have made all the special and favourite dishes for you, Taste it and tell how it is.' said Bondita who was blushing and diverted the topic.
Anirudh saw the food that was kept near the table. He held Bondita's hand and went towards the table. He pulled the chair and made Bondita sit on it. And to its opposite he sat.
One by one Bondita was serving dishes to him. But she noticed that he was having food without any expressions. After the food was finished, she served the Kheer, expecting him to atleast smile, but to her dismay he didn't uttered a single word or even smiled.
After the food was completed she, asked:-
' Patibabu, how was the food?'
'Fine'.
'What?'
I said 'Fine', He spoke louder this time.
'Seriously? I made all these food for you with so much love and care, thinking that you would like the food and would compliment me, But you didn't even say anything.' said Bondita who was disappointed.
'But ,Bondita it's just food,'
'But these are your favourite,' said Bondita who was on the verge of crying.
Anirudh looked at her and smiled, and said- Nothing is more favourite for me than you. You are My Favourite.
He slowly went towards her and took out the pin, that had tied her hair into a bun.
He said, ' You look more beautiful when your hairs are open.'
And then he picked her up in arms, and marched towards their bedroom.
Bondita who was blushing all the time asked, 'Patibabu, what are you doing?'
Anirudh looked at her and replied huskily, ' Now, I am going to have my favourite desert'.
Bondita who was smiling all the time, hided her face in his well built muscles. And the rest of the night was full of pleasure and desires that were been incompleted since many days
