4. Barbecue

I woke up the next morning I looked out my window is was bright and shining out it was about 9:30 or so and knowing the girls they stayed up all night and wouldnt be awake till dinner , I quickly got out of bed, I didnt care about bed head or anything my throat was a little scratchy and hoarse since I cried myself to sleep last night since I completely messed up mine and Brandon's friendship , As I walked down my stairs I heard my Mom and Dad in the Kitchen but I heard someone in the living room , As I entered the living room I seen Brandon watching Tv I sighed as I flopped down on the couch next to him I didnt dare to say one word,

"Morning" he said watching Spongebob on TV I scoffed

"Morning" I mumbled back , I realized he was only in a pair of shorts without a shirt on I turned my attention back to the TV quickly, I could see him smirking from the corner of my eye, I was not even going to bother to make any kind of talk, I got off the couch as I entered the kitchen to see Mom and Dad,

"Morning Pumpkin" My dad said smiling as he looked at me after marinating his steaks for him and Kelly's husband, I sighed as I sat at on of the stools on the other side of the island,

"Morning Dad" I said softly staring at him prepping the food for the barbecue tonight which I am dreading ,

"Faye are you alright?" my Mom questioned me, I nodded

"Yes just peachy!" I said with sarcasm, she sighed and left me alone while my Dad chuckled at me , I grabbed a Gatorade from the fridge as I rushed upstairs to get a shower, I rushed into my washroom connected to my room , I stripped down and hopped into my shower blasting the hot water on, I just stood there letting the water run over me and my sore muscles from all day practice yesterday, after I got out of the shower I quickly dired my hair and let it be its natural waviness , I put on my floral summer dress from Forever 21, I put on my strapped sandals and headed out of my washroom to see Paige Brooke and Chloe all in my room, Paige had on a sweet pink and white dress and Brooke had shorts and a Blue crop top, me and Chloe had a similar outfit ,



"Faye can you do our hair?" Chloe begged me, I smiled

"Why not" I said sitting down Chloe at my vanity , I took her hair out of the french braid I put it in yesterday , I softly brushed her light blonde hair until it was wavy I curled it with my fingers while I sprayed it with hairspray as it became light and bouncy

"I LOVE IT!" She exclaimed as Brandon walked into the room, I shrugged it off, he chuckled as Chloe admired herself in the vanity mirror, I sighed as I straightened Brooke's hair, she loved it and I curled Paiges hair identical to Chloes, All the girl's left the room leaving me and Brandon there awkwardly, LOVELY!

"So.." I said awkwardly as I put all my hair care products back away neatly on my vanity,

"So.." Brandon replied "Last night Faye, I.."

I cut him off "Dont worry about it heat of the moment" I said as I brushed my hair lightly, and walked downstairs with Brandon behind me , as I walked downstairs I seen Kelly and her husband here already with Diane, I smiled but frowned here comes the questions I grabbed my phone from my pocket to reply from some text messages I didnt answer last night, there was a few from Peyton, Kelly and a couple kids from my school, All the kids sat in the living room I was between Brandon and a Brooke until I heard a knock at the door, I jumped off the couch to quickly answer it to find Melissa Mackenzie and Maddie there ,

"FAYE!" Mackenzie yelled as she pounced on me hugging me,

"Hey ya Mac" I said smiling as she got off me and I gave Maddie a hug,

"Hey Mads" I said smiling she hugged me back as we all went into the living room and Melissa went into the kitchen with the rest of the moms, I was about sit back down on the couch when the door bell rang again,

"God Dammit" I mumbled under my breath which got a chuckle out of Brandon I sighed as I answered to see Nia and Holly there

"Hey Faye" Nia said coming in as I invited Holly in as well like Melissa she went with the Moms and Nia came with us in the living room,

I sat down next to Brandon on the couch all the girl's were on the floor gossiping and giggling I rolled my eyes as I texted a few people

How was Babysitting last night ;) - Kelly

Horrible :( -Faye

I shut my phone off just to get another text from Kelly

WHAT DID BROOKE AND PAIGE DO! -Kelly, I giggled at this abit but quickly replied

Nothing thank god but Brandon tried to kiss me -Faye ,

Aweh but Im guessing you rejected him-Kelly

Yup big time :(-Faye,

I turned my phone off all together because I didnt want to text anyone I heard all the Mom's gasp in the kitchen, I quickly got up and rushed into the kitchen to see everyone smiling and whispering, Diane seemed a little upset,

"Faye can we talk?" My mom asked as we went and sat on the back patio in the garden ,

"Faye what happened between you and Brandon" She asked I sighed wiping some fringe out of my eyes

"He tried to kiss me I rejected him like the loser I am" I said looking at Dad and Kellys husband attempt to turn the BBQ on I giggled

"Faye dont push him away the way he looks at you can tell he likes you" My mom said with a reassuring hand on my shoulder I sighed and nodded as I headed inside I seen Brandon about to walk out the front door

"Where do you think your going?" I asked him confused, he sighed

"Well you refuse to talk to me so Im going home" he stated , I shook my head as I ran up to him wrapping my arms around his neck,

"Brandon Im so sorry!, I didnt mean to hurt you!" I said hugging him tightly he looked at me with a shocked expression on his face as I heard the girls giggling in the living room I guess they could see us, Brandon sighed as he hugged me back,

"Faye I was stupid" Brandon stated, I shook my head again "No your not , Im the stupid one who ran away from you" I said he chuckled ,

"Faye I know we planned on having our date Wednesday but will you please go out with me tomorrow night maybe?" He asked with a toothy smile which I couldnt say no too!

"Id like that" I said smirking as we hugged one last time and pulled away , we heard a knock on the door behind us I chuckled

"Guess I should move" Brandon said jokingly I nodded as he moved to the side to see Abby at the door, she looked at me and Brandon and smirked

"Well hello you two" she said coming into the house , handing me a bag I guess this is my costume, I opened the bag to see it was my costume I giggled as I zipped it back up and I ran upstairs and Laid it in my closest on a hanger , I heard foot steps behind me I turned around to no other then Brandon,

"Brandon for gods sake!" I exclaimed at him he chuckled

"Sorry Faye" he said as we both sat on my bed just talking for awhile about our duet, our moms, how school has been lately, I turned to see Brandon staring at me already, he faintly smiled as he leaned in again, I took a deep breath Im not backing out of this one, I leaned in as well as his soft gentle lips met mine I kissed back instantly as he cupped my face with one of his hands, I pulled away biting my lip slightly it was like all those years of being friends managed to come out to this,

"Did you like that?" Brandon chuckled nervously as I nodded "Yeah" I said smiling still biting my lip gently as I leaned back in kissing Brandon one more time until we heard our names being called from downstairs Dammit!

Brandon chuckled pulling away from the kiss, I opened my eyes to look into his he smiled

"Always interrupted" he chuckled I nodded as we walked downstairs together, I didnt want to let on anything happened so I stayed quiet,

"Faye Brandon supper is ready" My Mom said as we entered the kitchen I smiled as we all sat down in the dining room together luckily it was massive so everyone could sit down I was in between Chloe and Brooke , but I was right across from Brandon which was even better, I looked up to see Brandon glancing at me then he got my stare for a second smirking and going back to eating, I sighed as I finished up the last of my food, all the kids were excused to go hang out in the living room, I jumped on the couch next to Brandon lying my legs on top of his, he smirked all the other girls were in the room as well,

"Whoa now just because we kissed on all doesnt mean Im your foot rest" He whispered looking at me our faces only inches apart, I smirked

"Fine then your lucky if you ever get another one" I said looking away at the TV, his facial expression went from happy to fake hurt, I felt a finger turn my head to come face to face with Brandon again,

"Faye I didnt say I didnt mind it" He smirked gently kissing me on the lips in front of the girls my cheeks became hot and my stomach had butterflies, All the girls squealed , I pulled away and gasped

"Brandon" I said smacking his arm and burying my face in my hands so no one could see me blushing, he chuckled I swear if I wasnt blushing I would death glare him so much , I was soon tackled by a bunch of the girls and I fell to the floor with a loud thud ,

"Ow" I groaned to see All the girls dog piled on me, Brandon quickly stood up I looked above me to see Abby standing there, but I gave the girl's a look not to tell they all nodded,

"Whats going on in here" she asked starring us all down, I quickly got up and stood up.

"They were all hugging me because they found out me and Brandon are going on a date so they tackled me" I said nervously rubbing the back of my neck, she nodded and headed back into the kitchen

"Phew" I said sighing,

"Faye when are you going to tell Mom and Dad" Chloe asked with a huge grin on her face

"I dont know Clo but you have got to promise me you wont say anything!" I told her and all the girls they all nodded,

We all sat and talked for awhile playing twenty questions and things like that until everyone had to leave , I sighed Brandon was the last one to leave thank god! I walked out onto the front Patio with him , Diane went home with Kelly and the Girls and she let Brandon drive home, Mom Chloe and Dad were all cleaning while Clara napped, I looked up at Brandon who was smiling down at me

"I had fun tonight Faye" he chuckled placing his hands on my waist , I smiled widely,

"Me too" I replied before Brandon gently kissed me I placed both my hands on his neck my arms resting against his chest as he deepened it,

"After 12 years I finally got it" he said smirking I raised a eye brow me and Brandon had our first dance class when we were both 5 and now we're both 17, wow 12 years he waited to kiss me,

"Your a loser" I said nudging him , "Im your loser" he smirked replying , I rolled my eyes as I let go of him and he walked to his car

"Be safe and text me when your home" I said as he nodded and got in his car and drove off even if we werent dating I did care if he got hurt wither we kissed or not I sighed as I entered my house to see my Mom smirking at me on the couch,

"Have fun" she winked at me I rolled my eyes and headed to bed, but before I fell asleep my phone went off,
