5. Hold Up!

I woke up the next day to birds chirping outside my window, a little to snow white for my liking I sighed as I hopped out of bed , I got a sudden rush of dizziness and nausea I soon blacked out and fell to my hard cold wood floor, I was soon awakened to Chloe calling to me,

"Faye Faye get up come on Get up" she cried , I opened my eyes to see my whole family around including Clara and my Dad, I groaned as I slowly sat up , I shivered because it was so cold in my room but everyone else seemed to be fine,

"Its so cold in here" I muttered my Mom looked at me strangely

"Faye its 31 degrees outside" she said I gave her a confused look , whats going on with me, My Dad gently picked me up and placed me back on my bed wrapping my sheets over me, I cuddled into them as my Mom rested the back of her hand on my forehead, Concern shot her eyes,

"Oh my God Faye your burning up" she exclaimed my eyes widened ,

"WHAT!" I yelled but my throat hurt so much after it, I groaned as I flopped onto my pillows ,

"Mom" I croaked out "I have my date with Brandon tonight" I said saddened I had gotten sick

"Well I guess it can wait till another day!" she excalimed "Plus Abby called a extra practice rehearsal today so me and Chloe are going to practice while you stay home and rest" I groaned and rolled my eyes as I cuddled into my pillows, out of all days to get sick it has to be today! my parents and Clara left the room while Chloe sat on my bed trying to comfort me,

"Hey Faye its alright" she said rubbing my arm gently I smiled at her "Thanks Chloe but I dont want you getting sick" I said she grinned,

"I dont mind" she giggled,

"Chloe can you pass me my phone" I asked her sweetly she did , she gently passed it to me as I turned it on to see the first and only person to text me was of course Brandon, I smiled my voice was still a little hoarse was talking on the phone isnt the best idea, I sighed as I opened up the text

Good Morning! Cant wait till practice and our date tonight♥ -Brandon

I teared up because while Brandon is at Practice Im here stuck in bed!, Chloe sighed as she got off my bed and was about to leave,

"Have fun at Practice Chloe" I said smiling at her she nodded but was still a little upset probably because I wont be at practice,

I didnt have the energy to text Brandon back so I shut off my phone and went back to bed,

Brandons POV!

I was surprised that Faye didnt text me back, did I make a move to quickly , I couldnt have she did kiss back after all, I hope she didnt think I forced this on her, I sent a few more texts hoping she was alright and nothing was bothering her, I sighed when I didnt get a reply back, we were on our way to Abby's dance studio,

"Brandon" My mom said softly as we were driving, "Hmm?" I mumbled really not in the mood to talk to anyone but Faye right now,

"Are you alright?" she asked me I shook my head No, I really didnt want to say anything about last night and knowing Faye the only people who know is probably the girls and I,

"I texted Faye a couple times and she is still not replying and we have our date tonight as well!" I said as we stopped at a traffic light

"Im sure she slept in" my mom said trying to reassure me, I shook my head Faye was always a early riser even when we traveled to different competitions when we were younger she was the first one up, we finally reached Abby's studio I grabbed my phone and dance bag as I entered the studio to see Christi talking to Abby, both their heads shot in my direction,

"Brandon I dont think we need you here today" Abby said, I was shocked "Why?" I questioned her nicely, Christi sighed I hope this got nothing to do with Faye and I,

"Faye is in bed with the stomach flu she cant dance and probably wont be able to for the next week or so," Christi said looking at me, I must of been crying because I felt my cheeks get wet, I nodded ,

"We can get Payton to do Faye's part" Abby said I shook my head

"No it wont be the same Payton is way taller then me the lifts wont work out very good" I stated not wanting to dance with Payton at all, Abby nodded

"We'll see how she is at Mondays rehearsal" Abby said I nodded I needed to work on somethings for the dance and Abby wanted me to help with the group routine, Practice went on for about 3 hours if not longer but when I was doing music and taking notes for Abby I kept checking my phone for messages from Faye,

Still no reply, I sighed putting my phone back in my pocket, I seen Chloe walk up to me as I sat against the wall watching Abby help Nia with her technique ,

"Hey" Chloe said sitting next me resting her back against the wall like me, I weakly smiled

"Hows Faye?" I asked her obviously worried about the girl Ive had a crush on for the last 12 years,

"She's really sick, she blacked out this morning my Dad took her to the hospital a hour or so ago she has a Stomach Infection and a slight touch of laryngitis" Chloe stated I gave her a shocked expression , I tried my best not to cry , I sucked in the tears I could feel my throat feeling scratchy from holding them back, Chloe hugged my side as I wrapped my arm around her shoulder, she reminded me so much of Faye when Faye was her age, And Faye would want me to stay strong,


Fayes POV:

I had just gotten home from the doctor at the hospital, they told me I had the Stomach flu for sure and a slight touch of laryngitis , I some how picked it up at school without knowing but luckily I didnt cause anyone to get it the Doctor said the infection only kicked in today so if I kissed anyone before hand they wouldnt get sick, Thank god I wouldnt know what to do if my parents found out I kissed Brandon and made him sick, Dad helped me upstairs back to my bedroom , He helped me into bed

"Faye if you need anything text me I dont want you yelling out" he said I nodded the doctor said if I want to kept my voice strong I wasnt allowed to talk unless it was important , My dad took Clara and went downstairs to make Supper since Mom and Chloe should be home soon, I turned on my phone in case Mom or someone needed me my inbox was full of messages

I had a bunch of texts from all the girls and moms from the competition team back at the studio, I sighed I even had one from Abby

We need our little Feather back! get better and rest drink lots of liquids -Abby

I smiled at the text Abby may be harsh to us but when it came to us being sick we always made sure we were doing better, I went through all the different texts until I came to a couple Brandon sent this morning I sighed as I sat up and read them,

Faye wakey wakey Cant wait to see your Beautiful face -Brandon

Hope everything is alright, Call me when your up to it - Brandon

Faye If I did anything wrong Im sorry I didnt mean to force my feelings onto you -Brandon

I giggled lightly but my throat was burning hes so sweet and considering I finally texted him back,

Im sorry about having to reschedule our date Rain check maybe? I can't wait to see you soon
Im going tomorrow to see how I will be xoxoxo -Faye,

I quickly sent it I didnt care if it was long or not as long as Brandon knew I cared for him, I had liked him for the last 12 years as well, when him and Brooke dated I hated it , I was quite jealous but I didnt let on to it I was, I felt my phone vibrate , I opened it to see another message,

Oh thank god your alright, Well I mean your sick but Im glad your not dead, I don expect you to reply back
I want you well rested so next time I see you I can kiss you! Missed you at practice Abby wanted Peyton to do
your part for the duet I refused saying Payton was to tall for my wonderful girl's part, -Brandon

I giggled as I turned off my phone to go back to bed, I needed rest and lots of it,

Brandons POV

I was in my room , I had just gotten home from Practice I felt bad for all those texts I sent to Faye I didnt mean to blow up her phone with messages but I got worried, Im sure you would to if the person you loved wasnt replying back to you, I lid in my bed re-running mine and Faye's kiss from last night over in my mind, I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, I hauled it out and slid the glider across the screen to see Faye had texted me back!,

Hey, Sorry I didnt reply I got really sick this morning and I didnt feel in the mood to talk to anyone
Im sorry about having to reschedule our date Rain check maybe? I can't wait to see you soon
Im going tomorrow to see how I will be xoxoxo -Faye,

I chuckled , she's so sweet and considerate of others and their feelings I really hope she gets better soon, I texted her back and Put my phone in my pocket and went downstairs to see Brittany sitting on the couch in the living room, I sighed as I flopped down next to her, she always had been one of Fayes bestfreinds at the studio, I wasnt ready to tell my parents about me kissing Faye right yet I needed time to think and I knew I could count on Britt to help me

"Hey Little Bro" She said smiling opening up her laptop checking twitter, I chuckled but let out a deep sigh,

"Hey Britt," I said frowning knowing Faye wouldnt text me back because she was sick,

"Whats wrong?" Britt asked closing her laptop laying it to the side and turning to talk to me, I frowned

'Fayes really sick and she might not be able to do our duet this weekend at the competition" I said not meeting Britt's stare I looked away

"Oh, Knowing Faye she'll pull through" she said smiling, "When do you plan on telling her you like her" she said nudging me getting a huge grin on my face,

"I already have" I mumbled smiling, Britt Gasped "Awehh my two little love birds!" she said hugging me squishing my head against her chest,

"Ugh cant breath" I muttered , Britt giggled as she let go of me, "Thank you!" I exclaimed Britt nodded, I hadnt said I love you to Faye yet but I didnt want to say it yet ,

"Britt I kissed Faye and , well I havent asked her to be my girlfriend yet, what should I do?" I asked her Britt had a smile creep upon her lips but sighed and put a reassuring hand on my shoulder

"Follow your heart Brandon" she said I nodded getting up and taking my car keys, I knew what I was going to do
