21. Star Power

We've been in Florida for about 5 days now and Abby is intense with practice , I sighed as I flopped on the floor from exhaustion ,

"Faye come on one more time and we're done" Abby said trying to get me to dance my solo again , I shook my head

"Abby I know this routine inside out I know every god damn move I can make and I know all the turns and the scream as well what else do we need to practice" I screamed at her, she looked at me shocked and shook her head agreeing

"Your right , its just Brandon and Brooke have got me stressed with this snap shot routine" she said sitting on a chair in the corner of the room , I sighed as I grabbed my bag and headed out of the studio to the hotel for a good nights rest,

"Everyone ready" Abby asked as we headed into our dressing room for Star Power we all nodded as I helped the girls with their bathing suit costumes , I sighed I know this Snapshot routine was going to be a hot mess , there was no chemistry between Brandon and Brooke ,

"Faye can you help me here" Brandon asked trying to figure out how to do up his belt , I giggled as I walked up to my confused boyfriend,

"Brandon how?" I asked as I helped buckle up his belt , he chuckled "No idea Faye no idea" he said kissing me lightly , I smiled as I fixed his shirt ,

"ALDC Snapshot" the director said coming into our room, Brandon took my hand as we walked out into the hallway I had my competition jacket on and my Peace costume it was a baggy white shirt with a peace sign on the front and white baggy sweatpants I had a pair of flats on since I didnt have to wear shoes for my costume, Brandon and I reached the stage entrance,

"Good luck Babe" I said kissing him lightly he smirked and hauled me closer kissing me passionately , I pulled away from lack of oxygen I looked up at my beautiful boyfriend,

"Get used to that when you leave for Julliard" Brandon said teasing as he went backstage and I sat in the audience with Kelly and Mom, the lights went down and I seen everyone line up on stage the music started and it was already looking bad I seen Brookes leg was red she must of hurt herself during practice backstage , I heard Abby cursing under her breath at the terrible routine that was being performed onstage , after about 5 minutes the routine finally ended and you could hear faint claps everywhere , I sighed as I got up meeting Brandon outside the auditorium, he looked upset

"Abby's gunna hate me" he said his voice breaking and engulfing me in a hug, I wrapped my arm's around him, his head snuggled into the crook of my neck as he sobbed We sat down on a bench in the hallway ,

"I tried Faye I really did but the chemistry was so off" he sobbed, I rubbed his back gently

"Sssh Babe its okay not everyone is perfect" I said comforting him , He lifted his head looking at me with sorrow,

"Faye don't leave for Julliard please , I'll be lost without you" he replied kissing me gently on the lips , I nodded

"I have to go Brandon, Come with me?" I asked being as serious as ever , he looked at me wide eyed,

"Seriously?" he asked I smiled in response, He smiled widely picking me up and spinning me ,

"Of course I'll go with you" he said with all confidence kissing me passionately as I felt fireworks go off with every between us, I heard the Solos lining up I sighed as I pulled away and Brandon walked me backstage ,

"Now welcoming routine 112 Peace by Abby Lee Dance Company" the announcer said I kissed Brandon one last time as I walked out on stage

The beat started at the beginning and once the lyrics started I turned around and started to dance with the music , I jumped and spun at every moment , I stopped and kicked and hit the ground , I suddenly stood up and spun and held my hands in my hand as I slowly stood up and screamed,

"AAAAAAAHHHHH" I screamed when the music stopped and everyone cheered, I fell to my knee's as I got up and ran to the other side of the stage doing a clockwise motion with my arms , I turned and did a heart in the air and spun my arms together, I spun a few more times as I ended up by the curtains almost and seen Brandon smiling at me I smiled and danced away kicking and jumping, I stopped and pointed to my wrist making a heart shape with my hands and a peace sign in the air as the music ended, Everyone cheered and clapped for me as I ran off stage hugging Brandon tightly ,

"I LOVE YOU SO MUCH" I yelled over the people chatting backstage because it was quite loud , he smiled as we headed back on stage for awards , Snapshot didnt place at all, I sighed as I hugged Brooke and Brandon .

"And now for the Solo awards" the director said

"Third place from Ohio State Lighting Strike" the director announced "Second Place from Florida Pouncing Puma Dance Academy" I sighed as drums started to play for the winner , I sighed as it stopped

"And for first place with a outstanding routine on Peace and War from Abby Lee Dance Center Faye Lukasiak" The director roared through the microphone I looked at her shocked , and sat in shocked as Brandon and Brooke pushed me up to receive my award , I smiled as the director handed me my trophy ,








I looked out to where my Mom and Kelly was and Flashed them a Smile, ALDC I'll Miss You!
