you feel someone lightly tap your shoulder, you turn around seeing meiying with a smile. "partners?" she reaches out her hand, you take it. "partners." you both giggle, getting on the bus sitting near the front.
you found it odd since you usually sat at the end of the bus. she looks over at you, "everything alright?" you hear the slight concern in her voice. "its just.. i usually sit towards the back of the bus from where i used to live" "oh.." she looks towards the back.
"i usually avoid going back there.." her voice softens. "why? its where you can pretty much get away with anything" you see her frown, "that's exactly why i avoid it. cheng and his friends usually sit back there and mess with the students who sit near the back. and get away with their actions."
you take a peek at the back of the bus, seeing cheng switch seats with one of his friends to mess with dre who sat near the back. you see him take a glance at you, but he then looks the other way, not bothering dre. you flinch in confusion, looking the other way to see the principle eyeing cheng.

"mr. parker? is everything okay?" you hear the principle say not too far behind you, you look at dre in which meiying follows your glance as well. "dre! over here!" you wave your hands in which his expression lightens up to see the both of you.
