i groan loudly with every step, "are we there yet?" "soon." mr. han says with some satisfaction. "by the way, how do you say water in chinese?" "shui." i cough, "i really need some shui.."

-

"i'm thirsty, mr. han.." i say, not going anymore further. "shao dre, this journey is complete" i look around, "but mr. han, i don't see.." my sentence trails off, looking at the well in front of me. "woah.." i say under my breath. "is this the dragon well?" i ask. he nods, "i stood here with my father, when i was your age. he told me that's the magic kung fu water. you drink and nothing can defeat you"

mr. han smiles, "and its the best water iv'e ever tasted.." he takes me by the shoulders and signal me to take a drink. i look at him, seeing him nodding before walking up to the well, taking a few sips.

"woah.. mr. han, you weren't wrong about the water being this good!" i exclaim. he nods, stepping beside me as we both look at the water. "shao dre, what do you see?" i look at water "me. well, my reflection." i look at him with a confused look. "yes, now what do you see?" he brushes his hand across the water, making ripples.

"its blurry?" "yes. empty your mind, flow with the movement and connect the energy around you."

Time skip ::

"what's up mr. han, what time are we trainin' tomorrow?" "shao dre, we are not training tomorrow" i frown, "why not?" "wu chi pi fun" he says. i look at him concerned, "wu chi pi fan?" i say, repeating after him.

"it means: 'too much of something is not good'. you train a lot, you need to rest." i raise an eyebrow, "so like a day off?" "yes." "ah! yes, mr. han. yes! shao dre needs to rest. yes, mr. han. you rest, too. i love you mr. han. peace!" i throw up a peace sign as i leave his house.

"are you okay?" i ask meiying. "my audition is tomorrow at six.." "isn't that what you've been practicing for?" she looks at me, "yes, of course but.." her sentence trailing away as she looks down.

"don't worry, you got it." she smiles, "what if-" she frowns, "hey, don't think negative meiying. first of all, i'm going to be there with you. and b, all you have to do is what you teacher say. play the pauses. its easy, watch." i get up, pretending i'm playing a violin.

she lets out a soft giggle, "i have to practice.." "wait." i say, grabbing her wrist as she looks back at me. "wu gi bi fan!" i exclaim, she looks at me with confusion, "huh?" she asks.

"wu gi bi fan? you know, too much of good stuff is bad stuff??" i say, now also getting confused with my own words. "ahh.. don't you mean, wu gi bi fun?" "yeah, that. wu gi bi fun. but c'mon!" i take her hand leading her out the gates. "where are we going?" she whispers, as we walk out the gates.

"hey i-" "c'mon! we are going to have some fun!" i say as she reluctantly follows me. "but i need to practice.." her voice softens. "come on! i know you want to go have some fun!" she then thinks for a while before grinning.

"c'mon let go!" i say, running beside her.
