you widen your eyes as you see mr. han take the man by his wrist. "what does this have to do with the girl!?" the man chuckles, "perhaps one of my students have told me all about this.." he looks down at you, "this interesting female of yours.." you flinch as he tightens his grip on your wrist.

"i suppose she has the skills to lay a hand on one of my students. i'm surprised that this particular student failed to even fight back." he looks over at cheng who clenches his jaw. "but mark my works. she will pay the price." he lets go of your wrist. you yelp, feeling as if your wrist were about to come off any second.

mr. han then lets go of the man, leading the two of you outside. "we can't have y/n on the line, mr. han. we have to do something!" "there's good news and bad news. the good news is they promised to leave you both alone." "yes, finally!" dre exclaims. "-while you prepare." mr. han finishes his sentence.

"what? prepare for what?" dre widens his eyes, "the tournament. you'll fight them all, one by one." "huh!?" he exclaims. "so the bad news is now they get to beat me up in the public?" "yes." "oh wow, great. thanks, thanks a lot." he says, kicking a nearby rock.

"but mr. han, dre barely even knows how to do any kung-fu. besides, didn't you see their colors and their kung-fu skills!-" "that is not kung-fu. that does not represent china!" "that man is basically teaching them really bad things that hurt, a lot." dre adds.

"but more good news, i will teach you real kung-fu."

Time skip ::

"see you later, mom!" you wave to your mom who was eating breakfast. "hey, wait. this is early for you for a saturday" your mom raises an eyebrow. "i'll be going with dre, i'll be observing what he does while mr. han teaches him kung-fu" she spits out the milk, "the maintenance man!?" she yells but you were already gone.

-

"mr. han?" dre knocks on the doorframe. "mr. han!" dre raises his voice, knocking on the doorframe once again. "back here." you hear him say nearby. you and dre enter, seeing a car in his living room. "you know you have a car in your living room, mr. han?" dre scoffs.

"okay, so, i was thinking of yesterday" dre then says, as he stands in front of mr. han. "i know i was freaking out about the tournament, but then i realized something last night, i'm an athlete! my number one asset is i'm fast! i'm quick, got the speed. cat speed!" he runs in place. you walk past him, sitting on some steps near a gate.

"my uncle reymi used to date this brazilian girl and he learned jiu-jitsu. he also taught some to me. as if, locks and holds and stuff." he does some moves before knocking over a vase that was nearby 'twack!' . "oh shoot, was that antique?" he panics.

-

"so how did it go, dre? tell me all about it" aunt sherry asks dre, who trailed behind you at a distance. "nothing." he hangs his jacket up before walking to his room, hearing him slam the door.

Time skip (monday) ::

"alright have a good day guys" aunt sherry says, you and dre wave before making your way inside the building. you hear him sigh, "can't believe i believed that i was actually gonna be learning kung-fu. but all i did was hang up my jacket multiple times."

you rest your arm over his shoulder, "you'll get there soon, dre. the competition isn't starting soon but in a few weeks from now. i'm sure you'll have time to prepare." he shakes his head, "i'm honestly doubtful about it all, though. but thanks" he departs from you and enters his classroom which was at the other end of the hall.

you take a deep breath before entering your english class, you ignored cheng's glance as you sat down in your chair. you knew he was goofing around behind you again but you didn't bother shifting your attention to him anytime soon.

he finally sits in his seat, resting his head as he observes you. he then pushes your hair to the side, you didn't look his way as you continued reading the book in your hand. "why so silent today? hm?" he asks, you slap his hand that held your hair.

he pushes your hair to the side again as you slap his hand again, "would you quit it?" you say in an annoyed tone. he takes the book from your hands, "what's so interesting about this book anyways?" he takes the book mark out, throwing it somewhere.

"hey!" you say as he turns the pages around, losing the page completely. you roll your eyes as you take another one out in which he takes that one too. "oh f*ck you." you roll your eyes, not having anything else to do while you waited for the teacher to come.

"i noticed you say that phrase often" "oh shut up.." you mumble. you hear him chuckle turning to his friend, "今晚好像是找机会惹她似的。/ seems as if its an opportunity to mess with her this evening. " you put your head down, finally hearing the teacher come in.

-

you walk to the patios, not feeling hungry at the moment so you take out the notebook from your pocket that your cousin gave you.

you hear someone behind you as you grab their wrist in time, "nice one" cheng says, sitting beside you. "why are you here?" you look around, seeing his friends in different areas.

hm.. odd.

you think, as you get up. "stay for a bit" he says, "oh please, especially not with you" he stands up, standing in front of you, still having a grip on your wrist. "you're quite the interesting one, hm?" he shows that smirk of his once again. you look away, breaking the eye contact.

"cheng, that's enough."
